Our guide was great but the overall experience was expensive for what you are getting. Would recommend doing the Itsukushima Shrine on your own and then get a guided tour for the Peace Memorial part. Also, we paid for a small group tour of less than 5 people but it ended up being 8 people which was a bit of false advertising by Trip Advisor.
A magnificent experience. Our guide Damián from Buenos Aires taught us the secrets and curiosities of Hiroshima and Miyajima.
Excellent tour guide , Ray !! Very knowledgeable and informative. We’ve had a lovely day out in Hiroshima along with another 2 more beautiful couples . As sad as what’s had happened in the past in Hiroshima , very touching experience we managed to have a great day on the island and in Hiroshima. Many thanks
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, Hayato was very knowledgeable and kind. Being a local from Hiroshima, he was very passionate about sharing its history. His positivity around future peace, international friendship and strengthening his community made a typically sad topic very heartwarming and inspiring! We definitely recommend this tour!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review! We’re truly happy to hear that you had such a meaningful experience with Hayato. His passion for Hiroshima, its history, and his message of peace and connection is something we deeply value, so it’s wonderful to know it resonated with you. We hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future!
Kota did an amazing job showing us around and teaching us about the area. The visit to the temples on Miyajima was relaxing and unexpected. I loved it. It was a national holiday, so things were super busy, but he handled everything with patience and kindness. It was a great tour.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with Kota and that the visit to Miyajima’s temples was a relaxing and memorable part of your day. It’s great to know that even during a busy national holiday, he was able to take care of everything with patience and kindness. We truly appreciate your kind words and are very happy you had a great tour. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure in Japan!
I feel this event was overpriced. It is not really a tour it is a guide to the train, bus and ferry that you will take and pay for in addition to the tour. The guide was friendly but not a lot of insight to the places visited. It felt self-guided.
Thank you for your feedback—we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. Our intention is to provide a guided experience while using public transportation to explore Hiroshima and Miyajima efficiently, but we understand that this may not feel like a traditional fully guided tour for everyone. We also appreciate your kind comment about the guide being friendly. At the same time, we take your feedback regarding the level of insight very seriously and will use it to further improve our guide training and overall experience. Your comments are very valuable to us, and we will continue working to make our tours more informative and clearly communicated. Thank you again for joining us.

Double check the meeting point as our booking had a different location to where the guide was and they left (before the 9am meeting time) without us. Regardless of that we managed to get hold of the guide and caught up the tour at Miyajima. The locations visited were stunning in their own ways but the insight and information provided by the guide was often vague and lacking in depth. Bo was a very friendly guide but was quietly spoken meaning not all of the group (8 people) could hear her comments at times.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the meeting point. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating it must have been, especially before an early morning start. We are reviewing the booking details and meeting instructions carefully to ensure this does not happen again in the future. We’re glad to hear that you were able to contact the guide and rejoin the tour at Miyajima, and that you enjoyed the beautiful locations visited during the day. Thank you as well for your comments regarding the guiding. Bo is a very warm and friendly guide, and we appreciate your honest feedback about the clarity and volume of explanations in a group setting. We will share this with her and continue to work on improving both the depth of information and group communication, especially for larger groups. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and helps us improve our tours. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future under smoother circumstances.
I questioned whether to include Hiroshima and was so glad that I did. My tour guide was Shion. He was welcoming and kind, we chatted the whole day about everything from food, travel, aspirations and family. We used the train and tram, walked and explored both Miyajima and Hiroshima. The wooden temples were breath taking and a must. As were those build slightly above high tide mark. We walked through the monk training tunnel, a small stair case down and you use your left hand to guide your way through the dark passage. The idea is that you use the time to get in sync with your senses and practise self reflecting. It was a bit too dark for my liking but Shion held my hand the whole way. I felt so proud when I returned to day light, only took approx 5 mins but I certainly second guessed myself haha. Mountains meet seaside, with a side of oyster farm and ferry. Made memories for sure. If you get the chance please book with Shion, you will have the best adventure 🫶🏼
Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful and detailed review. We’re truly happy to hear that you decided to include Hiroshima and Miyajima and that it became such a meaningful part of your journey. Shion will be very touched to read your kind words. He genuinely enjoys connecting with guests beyond sightseeing, and it’s wonderful to hear that those conversations and shared moments made your day special. Your description of Miyajima, from the wooden temples to the monk training tunnel, perfectly captures why this area is so unique. We’re glad you felt supported throughout the experience, especially during the more challenging moments, and that it became a memory you can look back on with pride and a smile. Thank you again for choosing to tour with us and for recommending Shion so warmly. We hope to welcome you back to Japan for another adventure in the future.
