- The British authorities reserve the right to change modify or cancel the Changing of the Guards ceremony without notice in the case of wet weather and other official events. Under these conditions, the British army usually will not give final notice of cancellation until 10 minutes before the planned time. In such cases, your guide will modify the tour to include an alternative Parade where possible, and share more highlights of the Westminster area.
- In the case of heavy rain, you will see a wet change (guards marching without music).
- Please note that if you book your tour on Friday you’ll experience the change of the Household Cavalry.
- For the Changing of the Guard ceremony, we do not stand by the Buckingham Palace gates. The crowds swarm there hours in advance, only to find they can only see the very end of the parade all while being crushed by the masses. Instead, we take you to the best spots only the locals know, and walk along with the parade! This way you see the absolute most there is to see, and it’s a much more enjoyable experience.

The Thames River Cruise offered a beautiful perspective of the city. Floating along the river while seeing London’s skyline unfold was both relaxing and fascinating — a perfect reset in the middle of a busy sightseeing day. Ending at the Tower of London was a highlight. Having admission included made everything effortless, and exploring such an important historic site with expert commentary brought centuries of history vividly to life. The stories, the Crown Jewels, the atmosphere — it was all extraordinary. What truly set this tour apart, though, was our fabulous guide Charlotte. She was warm, professional, incredibly informed, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing her city. She balanced structure with flexibility perfectly and made sure we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Just Wow! Charlotte was so knowledgeable and friendly. It felt like a close personal friend was guiding us through the city. She knew exactly where to be and, more importantly, when to be there. She actually timed it so we SAW THE KING. This tour was the highlight of our stay in London and we did some amazing things. The River Cruise on the Thames did not have a tour guide, so she stayed right with us and talked about everything as if she was guiding the boat. She was fantastic.

Had an amazing time today on our tour!! Our tour guide Charlotte, was absolutley amazing. Honestly didn't realize I had booked the private tour but it was great. We went at a great pace that was comfortable, saw alot of things that were not on the itinerary, and Charlotte had answers to questions that we didn't even know we should have had. Very informative. She also made sure to get us the best spots for viewing and made sure to offer and take plenty of photos along the way. Couldn't recommend more.
