Herculaneum, Vesuvius and Pompeii Full Day Tour from Naples

Description
Live the experience of a "full immersion" in the History and places that made the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD famous. An entire day was spent visiting the two famous archaeological sites (Pompeii and Herculaneum) and the volcano (with its wonderful natural park) which destroyed them in Roman times while maintaining their characteristics, paintings, and architecture intact. A tour for those who want to enjoy these precious sites declared "World Heritage Sites" by UNESCO, in total autonomy, directly from Naples (pick up and drop off) and without stress and long waiting lines.

When I went to pick up tickets at the location provided, I couldn’t find the place. I went into a hotel to ask, but they didn’t know where I was to go either. I called and the hotel called the tour operator, but no one answered the call. I double checked the address by clicking on the map link, and we were in the right location to pick up the tickets. Since I wasn’t at the meeting spot when we were to leave, the tour company called me. I told her where we were and it would take us 10 minutes to walk back to the meeting location, even though I never got the tickets. She said sorry but she wouldn’t wait that long. The information on the website said they would wait no longer than 15 minutes for anyone running late. I guess that wasn’t true. Sadly, we didn’t get a refund. I messaged them several times, but they never responded again. All I could do is cry and know that I was out $305.62. I booked a similar tour through GetYourGuide. After paying about the same amount AGAIN, I messaged the new company about picking up tickets. They let me know the tickets will be available in the app. On the tour, I showed them what happened with the other company. They agreed i was to present my voucher at the Redemption Point to exchange it for my tickets, and then go to the Meeting Point at another location. The guide tried to get my money back, but he couldn’t get through to them.
Great experience. Everything managed perfectly. Very professional team. Clear instructions at each drop off point. The audio guides were not useful. The numbers on the site (Herculeaneum and Pompeii) did not match the numbers on the Audio guides. Other groups we saw in Herculeaneum had actual in-person guides who were explaining stuff properly. Missed that.
We were given 2 different meeting points. The tour guide was a no show. Trying to get our money back. We also were unable to contact our tour operators.
It was a very full day, the tour company feel like a well oil machine and kept timings really well. I don't remember seeing anything about bringing lunch and time isn't factored in to eat, luckily we brought food with us but I think this could be clearer. We went to Pompeii after Herculaneum and finished at Vesuvius. All the sites were fab but it would have been great to have longer at Pompeii, especially given the itinerary change this was the time we had to factor in food as well. One of our audio guides didn't have any battery charge at Pompeii so this did hinder the experience a little as we had to try and share.
I bought this experience for the next day and they made it. Multiple vans soo we didn't have to wait for long. Recommended for people with little time.
Information provided at Vesuvius only. We should have been notified to bring ear buds for Heraculean tour. App kept kicking us out and we wasted time Signing on every few minutes. Audio devices did not work well at Pompeii and not enough time provided for exploring!
Very tightly organized to see Vesuvius, pompei and Hervulaneum in 1 day. Perfect for when you don't have a lot of time.
Well-guided tour, the sights are incredible! A must once in a lifetime! I would not mind coming back.
It was fantastic not have to worry and being dropped off as close as possible. Everything was well explained. We had plenty of time at each location. Everyone was very nice.
This experience was very well organised. We visited all three locations in one day, picked up from Naples. The highlight for me was Versuvius, it was a twenty minute walk to the highest point you can get to, although the walk is very steep. The views were amazing across the bay of Naples! You are allocated over one hour at this location, I would recommend using the bathroom before going to Versuvius as being up the side of a volcano there are facilities, but they are lacking. Herculaneum was a small settlement which like Pompeii has been excavated to reveal very well preserved buildings. Personally I found Pompeii to be a more interesting stop, however I do think Herculaneum is well worth the visit. You are allocated about two hours at both of these locations and there are good facilities at both. The tour operators were well organised and made transition between each stop nice and smooth. The buses did have air-condtioning which was needed in the August heat. This is a self-guided tour, although audio-guides were provided at Herculaneum and Pompeii. Overall I would recommend this tour, it is a long day out, but very interesting and you can see alot in one day!
