Buckle up and prepare to be amazed as we ascend the winding mountain roads, passing by lush greenery, magnificent cliffs, and breathtaking vistas at every turn. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture the jaw-dropping panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding mountains.
Leaving Lap A Lagoon, we will drive deeper into a village at the foot of the Bach Ma Mountains, continuing to observe the daily lives of the farmers. Then we will reach the cool Suoi Mo stream to swim and enjoy nature amidst the mountainous forest.
As we descend down from the Hai Van Pass, we will arrive at Lang Co Bay, a picturesque and peaceful fishing village. Take a moment to soak in the stunning scenery and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant. Feast on fresh seafood delicacies and experience the local cuisine.
The lagoon is also a significant site for local oyster farming. Visitors can often see floating oyster farms on the water and enjoy fresh, delicious seafood at nearby local restaurants. The oysters from Lap An Lagoon are considered a delicacy in the region.
Tam Giang Lagoon, located in central Vietnam near the city of Huế, is the largest lagoon system in Southeast Asia, spanning over 70 km in length. It features a stunning blend of freshwater and saltwater ecosystems, home to diverse marine life and bird species. The lagoon is known for its serene beauty, especially at sunrise and sunset, with fishermen navigating traditional boats and fish farms dotting the water. Its unique environment supports local communities who rely on fishing and aquaculture for their livelihoods.

We booked our trip from Hoi An to Hue via our hotel ‘Under the Coconut Tree Homestay’. And boy, are we happy they booked Yo! It was a really nice drive with extra stops at marble mountain, Monkey Island, Hai Van Pass, a jungle pool, and even an awesome sea-side lunchspot! All included in the price! We truly could enjoy every beautiful landscape and even received additional information about the things we saw which felt like an extra luxury that we got the ‘local viewpoint’. If you want an alternative route to Hue, stop considering going by bus or going by train, go for the motor ride with Yo!

This was the best experience I had in Vietnam, I’d even say it was more enjoyable than the Ha Giang loop. Our group had a fantastic time, we travelled from Danang to Hue and saw the most amazing scenery. We stopped at a few places along the way and got to see key attractions and even swim in a freshwater hole. The drivers were great, very comfortable motorbikes and knew how to drive! This was my first time on the back of a motorcycle and I felt very safe. Would recommend booking with this company - I’d do it again in a heart beat with this tour group, was money well spent

An amazing trip with Yo and Cuong! They were super fun, the views were amazing and we had a brilliant time. When we wanted to stop we could just ask, and all the planned stops along the trip were great. We especially loved seeing all the ducklings when driving through the rice fields! An amazing way to travel from Da Nang to Hue! Spend the day being driven by a group of nice guys through some of the most amazing coastal landscapes I have seen. Really good communication in english over WhatsApp beforehand and on the day with the drivers regularly checking in to see if the speed was okay and if you were enjoying yourself. What a fantastic way to travel from Hoi An to Hue! Joe and his colleague made us feel safe throughout the journey and we had regular stops to stretch our legs. It was amazing to travel via the Hai Van pass; seeing sights such as Marble village, Son Tra Peninsula, Lang Co Bay, Lap A Lagoon and Suoi Mo Stream. We truly felt immersed within the Vietnamese culture, travelling by the rice paddy fields and fishing villages. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Vietnam 😊

This was a wonderful tour! My guide, Nguyen aka "Yo" was great. He brought me to the Marble Mountain where I had time to explore, climb around, and visit various statues, shrines, and altars. We also took the moto (bike) all the way to the top of Hai Van pass where you are treated to stunning views of both Da Nang and Hue! We eventually dropped down into Hue for a delicious meal right on the beach - I ordered fish and seafood, of course. There were several other delightful stops on the way, including a little mountain side cafe where I enjoyed a coffee in a hammock with a beautiful vista before returning to Hoi An. This was a wonderful day and I highly recommend it!
