Guided Tour In Fes with local Guide

Just as in the Divine Comedy, Virgil patiently and confidently accompanied Dante, so Mohammed guided us through the maze of streets in the Medina of Fez. The stops at the most typical places of local craftsmanship were preceded by a very interesting historical introduction, supplemented during the visit by curious anecdotes. Fez would not have seemed so beautiful without Mohammed's 35 years of experience as a guide. Highly recommended!

We visited the Medina of Fez with Mohammed, an exceptional guide who deeply knows the history, culture, and traditions of his city. Thanks to his expertise and passion, we discovered the numerous artisanal and artistic activities hidden in every corner of the Medina, as well as interesting places just outside the historic center that we would have hardly found on our own.

It really stood out for me during the trip when I wasn’t carrying any Moroccan dirham, Mohammed came in and offered to help with the entrance fees to the museum without any hesitation. We’re so grateful for Mohammed's guidance and navigating us through the labyrinth of the 9000+ winding alleys and footpaths that make up the Fez medina. This vibrant marketplace is truly a maze and Mohammed made it effortless. That in itself was a priceless gift. He facilitated such unique experiences, like getting us behind the scenes of production houses, leading us straight to true artisans and their workshops. He drove us to mountain towns outside of Fez where we shared snacks, hand-fed monkeys, and enjoyed the fresh, cool mountain air and stunning views of the Switzerland of Africa. The depth of his knowledge enriched our experience of Fez, and walking around, it seemed like he was the Mayor. Fez wouldn’t have been the magical experience it was for us without him.
