We booked the 3 day tour from Fes to Marrakesh and it was absolutely amazing! Our driver Said Azroual was very kind, a very experienced driver, had a good sense of humour and took his time to answer every question we had - and we had a lot of them. We had a really good time and I recommend this tour with Said 100% - totally would do it again. The car was very comfortable and we felt very safe throughout the whole journey. The accommodations in the desert and Dades Gorge were great and very comfortable aswell as the staff working there, very helpful and friendly. The included breakfasts and dinners were delicious, although there could be a better vegetarian option at the Hotel Babylon in the Dades Gorge. Nevertheless it was an amazing experience and we are very glad we did that!
When I booked my trip with Morocco Fabulous Travel, I was blown away by the ease and rapid communication. They were up front with me in that if they did not meet the required amount of people for the tour, that I would be upgraded to the solo tour at the required rate. I agreed, and lo and behold that did happen. Understandably, it was more expensive for me, and it was worth every penny and then some. My driver/tour guide/teacher/professor of Moroccan culture and history was Youssef. If anyone who has the privilege to have him as your guide, you are in for a real experience. He was incredibly knowledgable about Moroccan culture and history. During the drive, which is a normal route for these types of tours, he explained the background of things such as geology, the origins of the route, the food, how it's prepared, etc. I could go on forever. We stayed away from the typical "tourist trap" restaurants and in favor of more authentic experiences. Every place we went to the owner (I assume) or workers knew him and had a genuine love for him. If I needed to use the bathroom, he would stop. If I saw an interesting location to take a picture, we would stop, and he would even take the picture for me with me in it! Oh, and by the way, he was a very safe and professional driver. Punctual. He helped me to check into my hotel along the way. If you are a solo traveler, couple, or even a small group or family and opt for the private tour, please request Youssef. He will make your experience in Morocco that much more memorable. Thank you Youssef. You are a wonderful teacher. Please keep teaching others! And thank you Morocco Fabulous Travel for helping to make this one of the most memorable experiences of my life!
The tour was wonderful; I had come to Marrakesh, but now that I know more about Morocco, I am even more enchanted. Youssef, our guide, a young guy who exceeded all expectations. Proper, respectful, good driver, affectionate... everything good I can say about him is not enough. I could be his mother, and when saying goodbye, I left crying because of the sadness of having to part from him. I will definitely contact you again; I am delighted with your agency!
When planning our trip to Morocco, we knew a desert experience was at the top of our list. We spent hours researching companies, but the reviews for many of them were inconsistent, especially when it came to the quality of the drivers and guides. Through a Morocco travel Facebook group, we found a glowing recommendation for Morocco Fabulous Travel. We were looking for something private, a little more luxurious, and, most importantly, authentic. We didn’t want to arrive at a desert camp with loud American music and a party atmosphere. We wanted to experience the beauty and culture of Morocco. After communicating with Said from Morocco Fabulous Travel, we booked a private three-night tour beginning in Fes and ending in Marrakech. We’d also read wonderful things about a driver named Omar and requested him, although we understood his availability couldn’t be guaranteed. As it turned out, we were incredibly lucky. This trip exceeded every expectation I had. I had imagined what I wanted the Sahara to feel like, and the reality was even more magical. It was one of the most memorable travel experiences of my life. We traveled as two families with four adults and four children between the ages of 10 and 13. The van was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, equipped with seatbelts, and perfect for the long drives. And then there was Omar. Sometimes you hire a driver. Other times you meet someone who becomes part of the experience, someone you’ll always remember. Omar was that person. He was professional, warm, patient, funny, and incredibly accommodating. He knew exactly when to quietly let everyone rest during the long drives and when to join in our conversations. His English was excellent, he was wonderful with our children, and by the end of the trip, he felt less like a driver and more like a friend, or even family. The desert itself was unforgettable. We chose to spend one night in the Sahara, although two nights were available, and for us one night was perfect. We were actually the only guests at the camp that evening, which made the experience feel even more special. We arrived by camel at sunset as lanterns illuminated the path into camp. We were welcomed with delicious mint tea, enjoyed an incredible homemade dinner, listened to traditional Moroccan music beneath a sky full of stars, and watched our kids play freely in the sand. The following morning they went sandboarding down the dunes before we continued our journey. We also added an ATV ride through the dunes, which wasn’t included in the package but was worth every penny. The camel ride is absolutely something everyone should experience, but let’s be honest, they aren’t the most comfortable seats! The ATVs gave us another incredible way to experience the breathtaking landscape. The following night we stayed at Riad Chubby, another wonderful stop that we highly recommend. The staff was incredibly kind, the pool was a perfect place to cool off, and we even had our laundry done there before continuing on. Although there were many hours of driving over the three days, it never felt exhausting because Omar made every part of the journey interesting. He stopped at spectacular viewpoints, canyons, markets, artisan shops, and anywhere we wanted to explore. He never made us feel rushed and happily adjusted the itinerary whenever we wanted to stop for food or something interesting along the way. One of the most memorable moments of the trip happened because of Omar. A friend of his invited our group into his family’s home, where his mother prepared homemade couscous for us. Out of everything we ate during our two weeks in Morocco, all eight of us agreed that meal was the best. It wasn’t something you could ever plan. It was simply one of those authentic experiences that becomes a lifelong memory. One thing worth mentioning is that Morocco Fabulous Travel requested a deposit before our arrival. Initially I was a little hesitant because that isn’t something I’d experienced elsewhere, but we quickly realized it’s quite common in Morocco. Two other transportation companies we booked with requested deposits as well. Everything went exactly as promised, and we never had any concerns. Looking back, I’m so grateful we chose a company focused on authenticity rather than mass tourism. Morocco Fabulous Travel delivered exactly the experience we were hoping for, and more. If you’re fortunate enough to have Omar as your driver, consider yourself lucky. He was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Morocco is an extraordinary country, and experiences like this are the reason it will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Had the opportunity to do a 3 day two night trip Sahara trip from fes to Marrakesh. We were 3 people, one other person and the tour guide, we left as friends. Youseef, the tour guide made the trip even 1000 percent better, he was a joy to be around and we had a lot of laughs. The trip itself was magical, even though we were in the car for long periods of time, the actual Sahara part of it made it worthwhile. The several stops including ben ait haddou and the information Yusuf game were a plus. Overall, it was a once in a life time opportunity and morroco Fabolous travel me that happen.. Would definitely do it again with them
Wow! What a “fabulous” tour! From the moment Said picked us up in Fez to the moment he dropped us off in Marrakech he was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We traveled as a family with two boys age 11 and 14. The (brand new) Mercedes van was comfortable even in 107 degree heat. Said pointed out hidden gems on our road journey, explained who, what, where, and how, and answered all of our questions with patience and humor. The Sahara was the highlight. The camels and the camping were perfect. The stay at Hotel Babylon was also fantastic. The musicians performed with passion, and even got us involved with a marriage traditional dance. We highly recommend this tour!
Loved our tour. Our tour guide/driver Mustafa was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable, great sense of humour and happy to amend plans to suit our interests. Comfortable car and accomodation. Especially liked the accomodation in Dades Gorge, staff were lovely and food very good (best eggs I have ever had). Shared their culture with us including a fun drum and singing show. Sahara desert stay enjoyable. Camp had some beautiful spaces and camel ride was quite an experience! All in all would highly recommend.
The most wonderful experience with our guide Omar this last few days! We cannot thank him enough. The overall cost was really good value for money, costing less than if you were to book hotels/transport and food separately. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, going from Fes to Marrakech. The general vibe was relaxed, friendly, and customer led. We got to stop off for water, ATMs and tourist attractions whenever we asked, and Omar made sure to take us to the best areas to do so. We were a group of 6, so we had the trip to ourselves considering it is the down-season just now, and tourist attractions and restaurants were generally quiet. This is best for people who are wanting a chilled out, but adventurous Moroccan desert experience that teaches you about the culture, traditions and history of the land. The only downside was the restaurants that we stopped at for lunch. They were quite expensive and same-y (very aimed at tourists) but the food was fine. Thank you so much again for making this trip so memorable. My family at home is very jealous! 🌟🇲🇦
Omar was the best ever. Cool guy, had lots of fun, and was really enthusiastic. The tour had lots of good stops and ticked of a lot of our Morocco to do list!! One of my favourite things had to be seeing the carpets being made.
Experience in the desert and camping was very pleasant. Small group appreciated. Friendly, interesting, and energetic guide. However, there is a lot of driving to do.... The dinners are expensive for the quality.
