We are still talking about how fabulous this tour was. It made our visit to Athens so terrific. We ate such great food and learned so much about Athens and Greece. Peter was our amazing tour guide. He is a rockstar! They say come hungry and that is an understatement. You MUST MUST MUST do this tour.
This street food walking tour is a must! Dora had great energy and was very knowledgeable. She was sure to include the best local spots. We weren’t in town for long, so this was a great way to try all the local staples. This walking tours are one of our favorite ways to get acclimated to a new city and Dora helped us accomplish exactly that!
Peggy is an excellent guide! She has so much knowledge of the area, the food, and the people. Her tour led us away from the tourist areas, and into areas visited most often by the locals. She answered all of our questions, showed us some unique areas (Little Kooky) and left us with full belly’s of authentic Greek food. Thank you Peggy!
Peggy was absolutely amazing, this tour would not have been this great without her! Price was extremely reasonable and worth it, didn’t wait long for food or drinks ever!
Adele was amazing tour guide giving us lots of information and even more food. She said we would be in a food coma and we definitely were by the end. It was all beautiful and the trip through the market was very interesting not something I would have just done on my own.
Adele was amazing - friendly, professional and gave great information about Athens. You definitely get your money’s worth with food and the tour. Make sure you leave plenty of room for all of the stops! We did this with our family of 4 including two teens. Highly recommend on your first full day in Athens as a great introduction to Greek food and the city.
We recently did this walking food tour and overall had a very enjoyable experience. Be prepared for a lot of walking, especially if you’re visiting during the warmer months, as the heat can definitely add to the challenge. Gather in front of the church and several guides will show up at the appointed time with a sign. The food was excellent throughout the tour, and there was plenty of it. In fact, by the time we reached the second entrée, we were already quite full from all of the delicious tastings that came before it. While the food quality was great, the portion at that point felt like a bit too much for us. One part of the tour takes you through the fish market. We found it interesting and authentic, but if you’re not a seafood fan or are sensitive to the smell of fish, the guide provides an alternative route. Our guide, Dora, did an outstanding job. She was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and attentive to the individual needs of everyone in the group. It was clear that she had strong relationships with the local shop owners, which added a special touch and gave the experience a very authentic feel. For anyone concerned about facilities during a long walking tour, there were several opportunities to use restrooms along the route, so that was never an issue. Overall, this was a fun and informative way to experience the local food scene, and Dora’s expertise and friendly personality made the day memorable.
Gianni is an excellent tour guide. His passion, dedication, love for food, were all demonstrated throughout all our stops. He provided us within an excellent/outstanding experience.. His communication skills are also outstanding in expressing his passion, dedication, and commitment, not only to food, but to ensure that his guests were extremely satisfied. We truly were. It was an excellent presentation/tour by quite a remarkable young man
Fabulous tour! Went to several hidden gems that we had not seen before even after we spent two days on our own! Food was great! You will not leave hungry!
This tour was incredible, and our family had a great time. Our tour guide was Nasos, and he did an amazing job with my family that had 2 kids aged 9 and 11, and my 80 year old parents. He was very informative and he told us about the history and a lot of background about each dish. Our kids can be picky and they had plenty to eat and tried everything. Nasos went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome and our tour feel special. We loved all the foods we tried and had so much to eat. I would definitely recommend this tour as a great way to see some spots in Athens and enjoy real local's food.
