This is a 100% private tour: your guide, your group, your day. You will not be joined by any other guests, and the entire tour is dedicated exclusively to you and your party. Your private guide will drive you directly to the Zaanse Schans and walk you through this picturesque Dutch heritage site. Experience many famous aspects of Dutch manufacturing and visit an old working windmill to learn about how products were fabricated in the 17th and 18th century. The second highlight of the day is the picturesque village of Giethoorn. The centre of the village is car-free so the only way to get around is by boat or on foot. Your guide will transform himself into your captain and welcome you on board a typical 'punter', a small Dutch flat bottomed boat designed to sail in shallow waters for a private one hour tour through Giethoorn. After you're back on dry land you'll join your guide for a short walking tour giving you another perspective on this picture perfect little village.

Steven guided us through a great day. The drive to was filled with beautiful scenery and Steven shared so much knowledge of how Amsterdam has been built up over the centuries. While in Giethoorn, Steven guided us on a boat tour of this quaint town that is so peaceful and beautiful. We also stopped at a restaurant to try some local snack food. Steven provided great guidance on what to try and all were great. We then drove to Zaanse Schans to see all the workings of a windmill town. The entire day was great and I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you again, Steven for making this a great day!

Steven was an excellent guide with a wealth of knowledge and experience in all of our areas of Dutch cultural and historical interest, not only about Giethoorn and Zaanse Schans! Both sights were beautiful and unique, as was the drive through the reclaimed Dutch countryside. And, Giethoorn really lived up to its reputation as the most beautiful village in the world! Steven provided an excellent and attentive customized tour, including Dutch music for the car ride. Highly recommend.

Giethoorn is an exquisite treasure, so charming and unique. Our guide, Steve, was so knowledgeable and engaging. Our conversations ranged wildly from history, the culture of The Netherlands, their land management, and the precise operation of windmills! We went up and all through a working windmill, with Steve's explanations of the various procedures and products. We saw, learned, and experienced things we'd have never known of otherwise!
