We had a very great tour despite the language barriers. Our guide made an effort to explain slowly what was a bit annoying for the other guests , we had booked the tour in German , unfortunately no consideration was taken up here . We have seen a lot , but to learn more would have been just as dear to us . Thanks again to Wellington our guide 👍
We booked the tour with a German guide but received an English guide. However, he spoke in easy-to-understand English. Very nice tour with lots of info even while driving. We were picked up at the cruise terminal, although this was not in the pick-up area.
The trip to cape of good hope was very good and enjoyable. The driver was very friendly and gave us good information. I recommend this tour
Enjoyable, full day with Guide and Driver Denver Zietsman who has a wealth of knowledge about the area. As a solo traveler, I sat in front next to him and felt like riding around with someone I'd known my entire life. Otherwise, it's a standard package tour so expect to be in a pack of vans with groups from other agencies. Only place it's really a problem is when arriving at the lighthouse and the majority of allotted time is spent waiting in line to buy a ticket and then to get on the funicular. Also, be prepared to find more tourists on the boardwalk at Boulder Beach than penguins seen below, but hey - it all comes with the territory!
We were super lucky with the weather. It was a beautiful sunny day and the views along the coast were simply spectacular. Reggie, our guide, was very knowledgeable. He literally spoke the entire 8 hours of our trip. He provided background information about history, fauna and flora, anything guests were interested in. He stopped whenever guests wanted another photo opportunity. This is the kind of service one cannot get on the big busses. We were only a group of 11 people and bonding was smooth. At the Cape of Good Hope I highly recommend to climb up to the lighthouse and then walk across to the other 2 lookouts (a house and a smaller lighthouse). The view from the top is impressive.
We completed a full day tour with African Eagle along the coast of South Africa. No stress trying to drive in a new country, locate your destination, or figure out where to park. African Tours does all the work so you can sit back and enjoy the scenery. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, interactive, and energizing with our group. This tour route provided several stops along the way to explore scenic views, coastline, nature, marine and land wildlife, quaint city towns, local artisans, and the southern most point of Africa. Well worth the day trip!
Christian was our guide for this tour. He was excellent: very professional, polite and had an enormous amount of knowledge about the area, which he shared with enthusiasm and clear enjoyment. We felt that we were not rushed at all, we were allowed to dictate the time spent at each location and lunch in Simonstown was relaxed and in a beautiful spot overlooking the harbour. We also had plenty of time with the penguins and at the Cape of Good Hope. fantastic tour experience.
A one day trip is a great way for people with limited time to view the key features of the peninsula. Comfortable transport, knowledgable driver and lunch included.
Beautiful minivan ride with other people ..everything was perfect! the schedules , the weather and our driver Dylan on top! Nice , perfect knowledge of the course and the sites ..Really magical
The whole day tour in our trip was very rushed. We were told to be ready by 8:30 AM but our pick up was delayed by about 20 minutes. We were picked up by a taxi and were driven all around town to meet up with the tour bus. There seemed to be some problems with communications and by the time we met up with the tour bus it was 11:00 AM at Hout Bay. Then there was an optional trip to the seal island. By the time we left Cape Town it was already noon. We reached the Cape of Good Hope and were given 20 minutes there and then we were taken to Cape Point. Again it was rushed, but here we were given about 40 minutes. Later we were taken to a restaurant for lunch at 3:00 pm. We again had to hurry because we had to get to Boulders Beach to see the penguins. This was a whole day trip, but it felt so rushed and frankly not worth the money. We would have been better off going with a private taxi. Also, this was extremely expensive and we did not get our moneys worth
