Excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable and helpful
We had a great time in Fukuoka. Our guide You was excellent. As a local, he's very knowledgeable of the area, showed us the historical parts of town, castle ruins, gardens, temples and then a tour of the more modern parts of downtown with great suggestions for dinners and cafes. If you're looking for a local guide, with excellent communication skills, this tour is a must!
Yu Noda is a warm, friendly and fun-filled guide who quickly understood our interests and filled our private 4 hour tour with exactly what we had asked. He offered to go on longer than 4 hours, but we were reaching the limit of our endurance, so declined. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide, Yu Noda was articulate, funny, engaging and knowledgeable. He was flexible and did his best to accommodate us. We had fun with him and want to hire him for future tours around Japan, if we could.
Yu did a great job of introducing us to the city of Fukuoka. He was knowledgeable and personal. We really enjoyed our tour!
We booked a private walking tour of Fukuoka and Sumire was our guide. She tailored the walk to our requirements and we saw and learnt about of the temples, the oldest shopping street, the old town, craft museum and even took a bus to finish off in Maizura park and castle ruins, which had its blossom festival on. Sumire found us a fabulous traditional lunch spot and helped order food. She met us at our hotel and offered to take us back at the tour, however we were happy to stay in the park. Would highly recommend.
This is the perfect and only way to explore Fukuoka. Yu Noda is the best guide with amazing, in-depth knowledge of the city’s culture and historic sites. Kids loved his engaging storytelling. I highly recommend that everyone visiting Fukuoka take this tour to appreciate what the city has to offer truly.
Sumire was a great guide. As requested, she met us at the cruise port and we took a taxi into town. We saw a beautiful Japanese garden and shrine. We also walked to several temples. Taking public transportation to get around was great. I would highly recommend this tour and especially Sumire as a guide.
Best tour ever! Yu was so knowledgeable and shared so many fun facts not just about Fukuoka but about Japan in general! The pace was just right and best of all he took such great photos us too which was a great bonus. it felt like we were being toured by a really good friend. 💖
What a great introduction to Fukuoka! I booked Yu for an overview on my first full day of a 6 night visit. We covered more ground and saw more sites than I would have covered in several days on my own. Yu also shared personal experiences and family stories that resonated and connected people across time and space. I can't recommend Yu highly enough. Just book it. Best decision I made to start my visit to this lovely and interesting city.
