Itinerary

40 min

Crowned with the lovely title "Swan Lake," Lake Yamanaka becomes a serene haven in winter. Gentle swans gather here, set against the majestic Mt. Fuji, forming a scene straight out of a tranquil painting. It's a perfect spot for interaction, where you can feed these graceful birds and capture unforgettable photos.

70 min

Nestled at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Oshino Hakkai consists of eight breathtaking ponds, fed by snowmelt filtered through volcanic layers over decades. The crystal-clear water shimmers under the sunlight, reflecting the majestic mountain in a picture-perfect harmony of nature. This stunning scenery attracts photographers from around the world, making it a must-capture spot on any Fuji journey. Feel free to take a break and choose a local restaurant for lunch according to your taste.

40 min

Immerse yourself in the ever-changing beauty of Oishi Park, where a 350-meter flower road blooms with the seasons. Capture the perfect shot of Mt. Fuji, framed by Lake Kawaguchi and a vibrant tapestry of flowers—from spring cherry blossoms to summer lavender.

20 min

The Lawson convenience store near Lake Kawaguchi offers a unique photo opportunity, making it a must-snap spot for visitors. On a clear day, you'll be rewarded with a perfect shot of the store with the majestic Mt. Fuji in the background.

60 min

As one of the "21 Places Every Photographer Should Visit Before They Die," this park offers one of the most photographed views in Japan. Climb the 397 steps to the observation deck, and you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama: majestic Mt. Fuji towering over the charming streets of Fujiyoshida City, perfectly framed by the elegant five-story pagoda of Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine. While famous for its spring cherry blossoms, the park delights visitors year-round with summer greenery, vibrant autumn leaves, and serene winter snowscapes—a truly unforgettable sight in every season.

20 min

Escape the city and step into the internet-famous "Ladder Town" of Fujiyoshida! The peaceful street stretches like a stairway to the sky, with Mt. Fuji standing majestically at its end—visually close yet beautifully untouchable. The Higashiya Clock Shop area has become an Instagram sensation for its photogenic blend of traditional Japanese streetscape and the iconic mountain. While it can get crowded, the unique scene is well worth the visit. Capture a truly frame-worthy shot that feels both serene and sublime. *Please note: As this is an outdoor scenic spot, refunds are not provided for poor visibility due to weather conditions.

Awesome Tour with Matt

My trip started at 7:30 am from Tokyo station. Matt, our tour guide, texted us the night before with contact info and map locations so one can easily find the meet location. We boarded a clean and co.fortable bus for our trip. We drove around to the listed locations and had plenty of time to take pictures, eat, and use the restrooms. The trip was very relaxed and not rushed. Matt provided clear instructions and I formation about the locations and really made the tour a wonderful experience. 5 🌟 for Matt!

VERY touristy

The tour is well run, an is exactly as described. Essentially this is running around to various tourist traps that are wildly crowded, for the sake of photographs. I’d just getting photos of Fuji is your goal, your instagram will be pleased. If you want an actual experience anywhere authentic and peaceful, this isn’t for you. But the price is definitely right for what it is. I’d recommend traveling to the area on your own and going off the beaten path instead. It’s not like there are a finite number of places to see the mountain from!

We had an amazing...

We had an amazing experience on our Mt. Fuji tour, all thanks to our wonderful guide, Virginia. She was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and made the entire day so enjoyable. Virginia shared so many interesting insights and even taught us some basic Japanese, which made the experience feel more immersive and special. Her energy stayed positive and cheerful throughout the day, which truly added to the overall vibe of the trip. Thank you for such a memorable experience,we couldn’t have asked for a better guide

Amazing Tour! Was able to view Mt Fuji in many view points!

If you’re booking this trip, do yourself a favor and ask for Hathaway! She was fantastic—knowledgeable, personable, and so proactive about helping us take great photos. Her great energy and sense of humor really made the day special. Beyond the tour itself, the communication from the team was seamless and professional throughout the entire process. We can't recommend them (and Hathaway!) enough.
