Hot… Drumming was absolutely a hit! Very engaging and entertaining. Cold… Food mediocre! Wasn’t served hot and could not hear server’s explanation of food/region.

Authentic cuisine.. so flavourful and absolutely delicious. So much food! Such a fun evening jammed packed with interaction, music, and culture!! Definitely would recommend.. you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all the staff for your attention to detail, friendliness and care.
This was amazing! The dinner was spectacular and the African drumming and show was great! We were even a bit late for our ride due to another tour getting us back late and they still got us to the show and dinner!
This is a must do experience when visiting Cape Town. We were entertained from the moment we entered the front door. You feel like you’re getting the full African experience with the face painting and drumming experience. It was so much fun. The food was delicious and plentiful, the drinks were very reasonably priced and the staff were amazing. I’d definitely come back here on my next visit.
Brilliant show, get to get involved wirh the drumming etc, the waiters/waitresses are sp pleasant & helpful, 14 courses!!!! And they explained everyone, when I said I don't eat fish, she remembered & brought me the vegetarian option, unfortunately couldn't eat them all as I'm a complete wuss when it comes to spices, so to hot for me, bur was still full after not eating 6 of the dishes!!!! Wonderful atmosphere, and marvelous price, and the pick up/ drop off went without a hitch, I can't rate this highly enough 👍

This was so much fun! We were a group of 28 and everyone enjoyed a taste of African culture through the food, drinks and entertainment.
We had such a great night at GOLD Restaurant. The whole experience kicked off with a drumming lesson, and it was honestly way more fun than expected. Everyone in our group got into the experience. Even if you’ve never touched a drum before, they make it super easy—and the energy in the room is contagious. The Afrikaans and African entertainment throughout the evening was amazing. The performers were so talented, and the music and dancing made the whole night feel really special. And the food… wow. Every course was delicious. It was the kind of meal where you keep saying “okay, THIS one is my favorite,” and then the next dish comes out and changes your mind again. Such a fun, unique night out. Highly recommend if you want great food, great vibes, and a little cultural adventure mixed in.
If you are in Cape Town be sure to spend one evening at Gold Restaurant. We had a great time participating in the interactive drumming and the dinner was delicious.
The drumming show and dinner were excellent. The staff at the Gold Restaurant were very attentive. The only negative was the transportation to and from the dinner. Our driver picked us up 20 minutes late and then drove past the restaurant out of the way to pick up others. We arrived at the show almost 30 minutes late after the show had already started. We were seated upstairs in the back where we could not see because all the seats on the main floor were taken by guests who arrived on time. After the show and dinner, our driver was not there to take us back to the hotel. The restaurant manager had to get us a ride.
