Itinerary
The Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima is one of most famous Marian shrines in the world. Some four million people visit Fatima each year, drawn by apparitions of the Virgin Mary reported by three local shepherd children in 1917.
The Monastery of the Dominicans of Batalha was built to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese over the Castilians at the battle of Aljubarrota in 1385.
Nazare is one of the finest beach resorts in Portugal, and is an outstanding destination for a holiday. The town is situated on a wide bay of golden sands and stands in the shadow of the towering Sítio headland. Historically, this headland provided shelter for the fishing fleet and the boats were moored high up on the sands, safe from the ferocity of the ocean.
Obidos is the classic Portuguese fortified town, and is one of the most picturesque locations in Portugal. Obidos radiates Portuguese charm, from the narrow cobbled streets, the quaint houses, through to the imposing medieval castle, which once guarded the region.

Nuno was a great guide!!! The trip was excellent! Highly Recommend!!
Our guide Nuno was fantastic; he took us close to all the sites and provided explanations both during the journey and at each stop, indicating how to move around. We traveled with a small multilingual group, but Nuno handled it very well, speaking three languages fluently. We didn't have to rush too much, and the time was sufficient to see many things. The sites are visited independently; the only regret is not being able to visit the complete Batalha monastery because it would have taken too much time; perhaps by shortening the lunch break a bit, it could have been done. In any case, recommended. Thank you.
Perfect excursion, friendly and available guide speaking French.
The trip was very well organized, everything ran smoothly, and the whole itinerary was planned perfectly. Communication was clear and professional, and every detail was handled with great care. The organization was outstanding, which made the trip completely stress-free and enjoyable. I truly appreciated the professionalism, reliability, and effort that went into making everything work so seamlessly. Nuno was a great guide.
Amazing trip. Angela our guide was courteous and knowledgeable. The food at Oliveria’s in Bathala was delicious and economical.
We really enjoyed the tour! Very well planned out. The guide was super helpful and friendly. All the towns were wonderful to explore.
Nono was fantastic. He left no detail out and the tour was informative and fun. Highly recommend. He was easily able to accommodate both Spanish and English speaking guests with nothing left out.
Nonu, Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and was patience with all guests. He spoke three languages. Great driver. He was a gentleman at all times.
I requested an English tour and the only people that spoke English was us. There were a French, Italian and a lady from Romania. It was not fun not being able to socialize with the other people in the group because they didn’t speak English. Also it was not right that the tour guide had to do the tour in three different language, it was annoying. The stops were good except the lunch stop. We ate at this restaurant that was busy an it took for ever to get our food and it was expensive. The lunch was at the BathaLa stop. Too much time wasted. The driver did all the stop but he was not informative about the stops. He was also not a good driver. He drove like a maniac and put us all in danger driving too fast and stepping on the breaks a lot. I will not recommend this tour if they will give you this driver for your tour guide.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify a few facts about your experience: Group & Language: As a shared tour, groups are international. Your request for an English tour was fully respected and delivered, while ensuring all guests were looked after. Lunch: The stop at Batalha is part of the route, but lunch is entirely optional. Guests are always free to explore and choose any restaurant that suits their budget. Driving: Safety is paramount. We checked the vehicle’s GPS and telemetry data for your specific trip, and all legal speed limits were strictly followed. This guide is one of our most highly rated for his professionalism. While we regret the group dynamic wasn't to your liking, we fully stand by our team's safety and dedication.
The small group experience was amazing! Our guide, Fabio, was friendly, professional and patient with those of us who lingered a little longer than expected. He knew little tricks to avoid long lines and sent us text messages to let us know how much time we had left. Fabio would give us the history of the place we were going to and also the cultural and modern significance of the town today. Although the acoustics in the van were not the best, we got the idea of what he was saying. I would highly recommend this tour.
Hi Andrea, thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are thrilled you loved the tour. We received your note via email and want to give credit where credit is due: your amazing guide was Eros, as you told us. He will be delighted to hear your praise. Thank you also for the feedback regarding the van's acoustics; we will look into it to improve our future tours. Hope to see you again in Portugal!
