Get comfortable in an air-conditioned vehicle as you start your journey toward the town of Fátima, a once-sleepy rural village that became an important pilgrimage site when three shepherd children reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1917. Visit the Sanctuary of Fatima, a basilica that honors the apparition and attracts millions of Catholic pilgrims every year who go to pay their respects to the shrine
Next, visit the 14th-century Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that illustrates the rich artistic heritage of the late 1300s. Discover the impressive royal burial site at the basilica’s Founder’s Chapel, where King João I, Queen Philippa of Lancaster and their son Prince Henry the Navigator were buried. Note that we only visit the main church area, which is free of charge. To visit the whole structure (which we don't have much time), cloisters included, an additional charge is required (to be paid by the client directly to the local ticket office). Take a short break for lunch (own expense) in Nazaré, a quaint fishing town famous for its variety of restaurants and cafes. A popular summer retreat for the Portuguese, the village offers an interesting insight into local life. Short stop at the Nazaré cliffs to see the ocean views. NOT INCLUDED IF YOU CHOOSE THE FÁTIMA PILGRIMAGE & ÓBIDOS OPTION
Finally, make your way to the medieval village of Óbidos. Founded in 208 BC, Óbidos is commonly known in Portugal as the 'wedding present town', as it was a gift from King Dinis to Queen Isabel on their wedding day in 1282. Follow your guide to one of the numerous wine shops and sample the Ginja liqueur, and then enjoy free time to explore the village’s medieval fortress, narrow streets, colorful houses and Gothic doorways and windows decorated with flowerpots and dazzling tiles. Grab a snack or browse around the tiny shops that offer a varied collection of beautiful handmade ceramic art before making your way back to Lisbon.

- If Fátima is your main interest, you can choose our “Fátima Pilgrimage & Óbidos” option on Mondays and Fridays. This itinerary skips some of the regular tour stops, allowing more time to explore Fátima and its surroundings.
- It's rare, but this tour may be conducted in two languages to accommodate all participants
- Infant / child seats are mandatory for children aged 0-11. These are available on request if child age is advised at time of booking.
- There is no room in our vehicles for strollers and luggage
- If the booking is for more than 8 people, the group will be divided in separate vehicles

Great trip in every way. These 3 cities are a must see when in Portugal. Three completely different vibes, still always Portugal. Get your spiritual on in Fátima, your beach vibes in Nazare, with great seafood options among other choices for lunch and then head off to the Castle for some medieval vibes❤️ And the bonus spot was 🤪🥰🕺🏼🥳
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on this tour! It was a full day from Lisbon to Fátima and Nazaré, and every moment was worth it. The tour was very well organized, and we got to see so many beautiful and meaningful places without having to worry about transportation or planning everything ourselves. Our guide, Orlando, was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly patient, kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone in our group. He made sure we never felt rushed and took the time to answer our questions and make the experience enjoyable for all of us. His wonderful personality truly made the day even more special. For other travellers, we would say this is a long day, but definitely one worth doing! You get to experience so much of Portugal in one tour, and having someone like Orlando guiding you makes all the difference. We highly recommend this tour and especially Orlando! Thank you for such a memorable day!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Joao (John) was absolutely brilliant. Knowledgeable, personable and funny, he made the journey excellent. Before we left the vehicle, he told us all about the area and how long we had at each location . We all highly recommend
Our group consisted of 7 people plus our driver/guide. Jose (Joe- zay) was an excellent guide, making sure to explain everything in both English & Spanish for the group of 3 who were not English speakers. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Fatimá, eating lunch & a snack at Nazaré, and drinking Ginja cherry liqueur from a chocolate cup in Óbidas. We even made a quick stop at Batalha Monestary. I would highly recommend this 10 hour day trip. It went very quickly, was educational and a lot of fun.
We had a great time traveling around the western coast of Portugal. Highlights were definitely Nazare and Óbidos.

Antonio gave us a world class trip! His English was superb, as he spent a year in North Carolina, USA as an exchange student. His explaination of each stop made you understand why we went there. The van broke down in the middle of the highway, we were without assistance for more than two hours, we were in great danger, but thanks to Fabio it only ended up being a big scare; when asking the company for a small compensation, they offered us a tour of Lisbon with an English-speaking guide even knowing that we do not speak English, I do not recommend this company, they have not known how to live up to the situation!.

Intentamos encontrar una solución ofreciendo un tour, pero al día siguiente no había disponibilidad de una opción con guía en español, por lo que se presentó la alternativa disponible. Lamentamos que esta propuesta no haya cumplido sus expectativas. A beautiful tour! Our guide Gonzalo was super fun, kind, and informative, giving us facts about Portuguese history and culture, and the best restaurant and travel recommendations! This tour and Gonzalo was beyond our expectations, can’t recommend them enough.
