Douro Valley Wine Tour: 3 Vineyard Visits, Wine Tastings, Lunch

Description
Join us for a relaxed and friendly day exploring the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley. We’ve handpicked three distinct wine estates to give you a complete 360-degree experience of the region. We begin our day at one of the most iconic and prestigious estates in the world. Known as the "Jewel of the Douro," this property offers breathtaking views of hilltop vineyards that have produced world-class Port wine for centuries. Next, we visit a more intimate, boutique family-run vineyard that feels like a hidden gem. Here, the focus is on the "terroir" and the craft of making high-quality DOC Douro wines (reds and whites). The final stop takes place at a beautiful historic quinta dedicated to genuine Douro hospitality. This is more than just a stop; it’s a full sensory experience. Throughout the day, we’ll drive along some of the world’s most beautiful roads, with strategic stops at panoramic viewpoints for those perfect photos of the river.

Had a great tour with João (guide) and Lucas (driver)! Went to 3 awesome wineries with AMAZING views. Stops were well paced, so it wasn’t overwhelming to go place to place. João and Lucas were so fun to talk to, and I enjoyed talked to the rest of the people on the tour. We had 19 total. Lunch was later in the day but it was so good. I got seconds of the meat dish and ample wine. Total from the tour we did: Stop 1: 2 wine tasting + 2 port Stop 2: 2 port Stop 3: 2 wine with lunch + 2 port During stop 2, half the group did the boat tour while we continued to do an additional tasting. No regrets missing the boat tour. Van we took was a very nice Mercedes sprinter van with great AC, wifi, and charging ports. Meet up was easy and they called out names to confirm who was on the tour. A great tour to take during my 30th birthday trip with my friends!
I didn’t know what to expect since this was my first wine tour. The meetup location wasn’t exactly clear, but we manage to find it. The ride was about a hour and a half which isn’t awful if you just sleep on the bus. The wine stops were a lot of fun and everyone was so knowledgeable. Our tour guide, Joao, and driver ,Luca, were funny, kind, and helpful. The tour overall was a lot of fun!
Super fun! Food was great! Wine and port was excellent! Unlimited wine at lunch! Would not recommend bringing kids
João and Lucas were excellent guides and my group had a great time. They got us to our place promptly and were funny, professional, and attentive.
This was a full day wine tour and it was great! Our tour guide was Pedro and he was wonderful. Pedro shared a lot of wine knowledge with us on the way to our tour. He even gave my husband and I some suggestions of regions to stop and try wine on our roadtrip from Algarve to Lisbon. We visited 3 wineries. The first one was very busy and a little bit rushed, but the other two wineries were wonderful! At the second winery, it was very small and family owned. At the third winery, we got to have a sit down lunch. It was amazing! We got salad, soup, bread, red and white table wine, and there was a fish, chicken, and vegetarian option for the main course. I had the chicken and it was delicious!
What a fun day doing our tour with Efun tours especially thanks to our amazing guide Pedro. Pedro is very knowledgeable and our tour was well organized. Everything ran smoothly as planned.
The day at Douro valley was enjoyable. Our guide, Julliana was full of information and answered any questions anyone in the group asked. The transport was very comfortable and the people who were in the group were friendly and good company. We opted for the visits to 3 wineries as opposed to 2 wineries and a boat trip. The reason for my rating of 4 stars is one ff the winery visits was not up to standard because we no information from the host on the port we were left to taste on our own.
The tour was very well planned out and timed. The guide, Vitor, was very knowledgeable and fun! Had a wonderful day!

The wine/portable stops were great - lots of history and great tasting wines and ports. Lunch was delicious in a beautiful setting Our guide Sarah was very informed about both the region and the wines and ports. Our driver Shayla was very skilled and got us there and back in good time. Overall recommend!

Pick-up was seamless. The bus has fun music and AC so that it’s a comfortable and safe ride. All wineries were beautiful, the ports were delicious, and the lunch was fantastic.
