Douro Valley Premium Small-Group Tour: Wine, Lunch & Cruise
Description
Good for avoiding crowds, we guide small groups that give you a more local immersion personalized experience. The quality of our guides, wines and the wineries visited stand out from other tours. The tour begins with a visit to a port wine producer: Quinta da Roêda. There will be a personalized guided tour on the vineyards where the process of making the port wine will be explained. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a careful selection of Portuguese cheeses. After tasting, we will embark 1 hour boat ride where the calm of the river will inspire us. This soothing ride is the best time to contemplate the landscape and nature of the Douro Valley. Lunch is served in a beautiful farm overlooking to the vineyards where there are several food options: fish, meat or vegetarian. Everything are included in the price. The second winery is a small table wine producer, It will be an interesting opportunity to have more contact with the locals. The visit ends with an olive oil tasting.

The pickup will be made at a pick-up point in the city of Porto, the journey to the Douro Valley is about 1h30 minutes.
Visit to Quinta do Panascal where we will take a tour to the vineyards and a tasting of 3 Port wines.
One-hour trip on a typical wooden boat from Pinhão.
Brief passage through the village of Pinhão in the heart of the Douro Valley.
Passing through the Pinhão train station.
Lunch in a winery with a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian dishes. Panoramic view of the vineyards.
Visit to a local producer where we will taste table wines, olive oil and honey. Excellent time for interaction with the locals.
Return to the city of Porto with drop-off at the pick-up point.

The Douro Valley wine tour was a fantastic full-day experience. We visited two wineries for tastings, enjoyed a scenic boat tour, and had a delicious lunch with wine at a beautiful vineyard. My wife Karola and I took a tour of the Douro Valley on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. What a surprise it was to meet your wonderful guide Sara, who accompanied us throughout this magnificent day of visiting the Douro Valley and tasting Ports and wines. Sara provided all the explanations in French, and although we speak English, we greatly appreciated her commitment and kindness. Sometimes it is worth paying a little more for a luxurious tour; it was worth it.

Cancelled on us last minute- didn’t offer a real solution other than to take us two days later which didn’t work with our travel plans

Unfortunately, on the morning of the tour, our vehicle was involved in an unforeseen traffic accident, making it impossible for us to operate the tour safely. We completely understand your disappointment, especially as the alternative date we were able to offer did not fit your travel plans. We know that many of our guests have limited time in Portugal, and we regret that we were unable to provide the experience you had planned. As soon as the situation occurred, we contacted all affected guests, offered the possibility to reschedule to the next available date, and provided a full refund for those who were unable to join on another day. The arrangements and communication was excellent. Our driver/guide, Samual, was charming, knowledgeable and efficient. Everything about the tour was top notch. Three wine tastings at beautiful, historic wineries; the meals were delicious; the river cruise was enchanting; and the landscape and views were amazing.. The tour was a full eight hours but worth the commitment. W3 also made some new friends!
