Description
The first stop on the tour will be Fátima, the most famous sanctuary in Portugal. Here you will learn all about the apparitions that took place in 1917, when 3 little shepherds saw the image of the Virgin Mary. The next stop will be the town of Batalha, where you will have the chance to visit one of the most impressive buildings in the country: the Monastery of Batalha. Built by order of King John I, its construction was a way of celebrating the victory in a battle against the Castilian army. Inside, you can see the tombs of the King, his wife, and their sons, including the famous tomb of Prince Henry, the Navigator. The next stop will be Nazaré. Located near the coast, it is the perfect location to stop for lunch and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Ocean. Óbidos will be the last stop of the tour. Take the time to stroll around the medieval-looking streets of this lovely town surrounded by old walls. Here you will have the chance to try the famous sour cherry liquor.

At Batalha, you will have the chance to visit one of the most impressive buildings in the country: the Monastery of Batalha. Built by order of King John I, its construction was a way of celebrating the victory in a battle against the Spanish, the Aljubarrota battle, that put the independence of Portugal at risk. Inside, you can see the tombs of both the King and his wife, as well as their sons and daughters, including the famous tomb of Prince Henry, the Navigator, who had a crucial role in the Discoveries period in Portugal.
Have lunch at Nazaré, a quiet traditional fisherman's village located near the coast
Finish the day at Óbidos, a medieval-looking town where you can enjoy a delicious cherry liquor
