It was the perfect pacing of nature, beach, local food, and a wine tasting! Carolina was a great guide throughout the tour! Would definitely recommend to friends
First off Miguel is a gem and was a fantastic guide. He is very warm and personable but we were a little disappointed. The tour was only the 3 of us and Miguel contacted us to ask if we could start a little later due to a family issue and we agreed since it was only about 30 minutes. However, our understanding was that we would still get the full duration of the booking, this was not the case. We didn't really leave Lisbon until around 11am and it felt a bit rushed. We were given free time at the beach but not a lot of direction of where to go etc. I can see from the pictures people went to the rocks and were picking up starfish etc. none of this was explained to us unfortunately. Following this was supposed to be a visit to the caves, Miguel explained it would have to be a very quick and was over 200 steps down and back up again which would have basically been going down and coming back up almost immediately in order to get to the winery. We voluntarily opted not to do this however our decision might have been different if we would have had the full time to do it. The winery was nice and okay but we felt we were in a bit of a rush to finish the tour in accordance with the time it should have ended if we had left on time at 10am. One other point is that the description on Viator says lunch is an average of 15 Euro per person, this is not accurate. The restaurant is fairly expensive and we ended up spending over $150 CAD for three people and did not even order the most expensive items (e.g. salad, fish sticks etc.). Be warned, restaurants in Portugal will bring out a cheese and sauce tray without asking and you are charged for it. We would not have asked for it and this was an additional 20 Euro almost. We feel this should be explained especially to non-European travelers. In the end, we felt we didn't really get our full money's worth for what we paid. It was our first day in Lisbon as well so we didn't really know what to expect. Lessons learned.
A wonderfully eclectic, cultural and personal experience! Especially enjoyed the small group and cozy atmosphere. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our day exploring Setubal and the Arrabida park. It was great to be outside and in nature, all in a super relaxed and fun environment!
Our tour guide Miguel was excellent. The whole day was relaxing, with beautiful views and nature, plus great vine and lunch. It's the excellent choice to make this trip to relax and get away from Lisbon into different face of Portugal. I recharged my batteries.
My recent tour of Arrabida in Setubal exceeded all expectations that my group and I had! Miguel, our guide, began the day by showing us the beautiful city of Setubal where we went to the local market and got to taste the local food. Then we drove to Serra da Arrabida, where we got to explore a secret cave where Miguel was telling us very interesting curiosities along the way. In the afternoon we had a wine tasting experience that complemented our journey in Azeitao. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon. Thank you Miguel for a memorable day and a perfect day trip from Lisbon!
The greatest experience of our lifes. Miguel and his crew are amazing hosts, funny and entertaining. I can't recommend this experience enough.
Visit incredible places. Lots of fun and good times with friends. Without a doubt, an experience to be repeated and recommended.
Wonderfull experience , really recomment this one to anyone thinking about visiting Setúbal and Arrabida region. Miguel (our guide) was top tier telling us some stories about the region while taking us on some breathtaking spots. Highlights for me were the famous local market in Setúbal, the amazing views in Arrabida, the stories behing some of the locations and obviously the regional wine!
Great day with our guide Carolina and the rest of the group. This tour visits very beautiful places in Arrabida. We started with a visit to Setubal traditional market then went to a cave and also had the chance to jump in the sea. After we visited a very beautiful viewpoint which was one of the highlights of the day. This tour also includes a visit to a picturesque beach and we went to eat in a restaurant. This meal was my favourite part of the day I ate a turbot and it was very good. I really recommend this tour Carolina was such a lovely and caring person.
