Great experience with the ride to and from the hotel in Waikiki & ticket to hike Diamond Head. Our driver Matthew was very kind, knowledgable & friendly. Would recommend this option to anyone looking to hike Diamond Head. Thanks again
Great tour guide, very friendly and informative. Guide for snorkeling was very patient, gave detailed instructions and helped in the water. Swam with lots of turtles and plenty of time to experience each stop.
This is as beautiful as it looks on the posters and of course very accomplishing but what it doesn’t show you is the rough bumpy terrain, the tiny stair cases and the tunnel you have to crawl through near the top. If you’re claustrophobic, be aware. There are no elevators, cable cars or aids to get you up or down, it’s your legs and feet only. We loved it and had a great time getting to the top and back down but a lot of people were struggling. It’s a hike! Be ready to hike! Kudos to the company Kaimana for ringing the day before and confirming details for pick up location and booking times.
So great, rewarding climb, beautiful views. Shuttle drive was easy and cost effective for a solo hike, and the timing was perfect.
It was a bit strenuous getting there, but even though we are no longer young we made it. The views were amazing and we'll worth the climb. The tunnel can be a little claustrophobic, and there was a wait getting to the very top because of people taking pictures, but overall was a great activity. The tour bus operator was great!
We did a self tour which is all you need. Parking was $7 and I went straight to the park website and bought the entry tickets for a 2hr time frame. There are lookouts along the way to see beautiful views. The trail is paved for the beginning, then changing to a medium level railed path that was not slippery. To get up to the final peak there was 2 ways to go, one was straight up 99 stairs to begin and a longer path. But well worth the hike, especially if you had never been.
It is challenging...take water. But I'm an almost 50 year old who rarely exercises and I was fine by taking a few breaks up.
It’s sooo tiring but it’s worth it. We made it to the top. It’s really an amazing view when you reach the top.
Must try experience to see a good vantage view or HNL. The hike can be done by all ages. Well organized tour.
Very nice tour, long up hill climb but 2 hrs is enough to get up and down, even for a couple of 70+ year old. I would to have water for the hike not after, we ended up buying a bottle. Matthew did a good job driving and explaining about the area and what to expect on the hike
