Tour of Pearl Harbor

Will did a great job getting our self guided tour of Pearl Harbor setup and then doing a tour of the city. It was a great day and a great tour. We would definitely use this company again and would like to have Will as a guide again. Thanks Will.

Highly recommend this...

Highly recommend this tour! Will was an amazing and very knowledgeable tour guide! The only downside we found was the timing at the USS Missouri, Pearl Harbour Visitor Centre and Aviation Museum was too short by at least 30 minutes. We felt that we couldn’t not properly stop and read exhibits in the museums and experiences.

Operator response

Aloha 🌺 Mahalo nui loa for your kind recommendation and thoughtful feedback! We’re so happy to hear that Will made a strong impression with his knowledge and guidance throughout the tour 🤙 We also appreciate your honest note about the timing at Pearl Harbor, including the USS Missouri, Visitor Center, and Aviation Museum. We understand how important it is to have enough time to fully experience and appreciate each exhibit, and your feedback will be shared with our team for review as we look at pacing and scheduling. Mahalo again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you back to Hawaiʻi for more unforgettable adventures soon 🌈

That you need to bring...

That you need to bring your picture ID with you in order to get on the bus to go to the battleship and airfield.

Operator response

Aloha! Mahalo for the note! Just to clarify for all guests: Pearl Harbor strictly requires a picture ID for entry, so please be sure to bring one with you when boarding the bus to the battleship and airfield. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience for everyone. We did send a notification a day prio to the tour about bringing one. We appreciate your attention to this important detail!

Excellent tour - a look back at history and more!

The wife and I went on the January 23, 2026 tour. I can't believe that I never went to Pearl Harbor on my many visits to Hawaii! It was a very memorable experience. Jeremiah (Cousin Miah), was our driver and tour guide. He was very entertaining and gave us a pre-tour and post-tour history of the area. He kept everyone awake on the tour bus by calling on us randomly and giving us some fun facts - I think that's what made us enjoy the tour more! Once Cousin Miah dropped us off at the entry gate of Pearl Harbor, we were on our own for 8 hours to explore the many different attractions: USS Arizona Memorial, Battleship Missouri Memorial, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum were among our favorites. I've seen documentaries on Pearl Harbor, but to be there and see where everything actually happened is somewhat sad and sobering, yet makes us appreciate the time we're living in. It was a long day, but something everyone must do at least once! After we were done with our time at Pearl Harbor, Cousin Miah picked us up and continued our history lesson of Oahu. He stopped by the Punchbowl Cemetery, Iolani Palace (the only royal palace in the US), and the statue of King Kamehameha for a quick photo opp. Learning about the place you travel to makes a big difference and makes it a more memorable vacation.

Disappointing

First off, our tour/shuttle bus driver was in a really terrible mood, and didn’t hide it, not to mention, very difficult to understand. Shadow Box = shuttle bus, Rose = Ross, but his mood did get a little better later in the day. Once we got to Pearl Harbor, I’d done this tour over 10 years ago and it was great, it felt more like pushing cattle thru a squeeze shoot. How many can we jam thru and collect their money. This time, I brought my two, teen and pre-teen, kids, and at 59 years old and having spent 24 years in the Army, I don’t need some angry, power trip, Park Ranger barking at me, my kids, or any other of the people who paid good money to go visit this solemn, historical site. The Ranger was barking at the people in line, saying things like he doesn’t care about their feelings, he doesn’t work for them. Not sure, but thinking the federal park system uses tax payer money to pay their employees. I get it, dealing with the public, 5000 a day, has got to have its frustrations, but if you can’t handle it, professionally and calmly, FIND ANOTHER JOB!! The whole experiment was less than I remembered it and was not good, they should be held to a higher standard, like the Navy personnel operating the shuttle boats. Great job!!

Operator response

We sincerely apologize for the driver’s mood and the difficulty in communication—it’s never our intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable. We also understand your frustration with the experience at Pearl Harbor. We agree it is a solemn and important site, and all visitors deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. While we don’t control federal staff, we appreciate you sharing your concerns as it helps highlight the importance of maintaining a respectful environment for everyone. We truly value your feedback and mahalo for your service. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide a smoother and more positive experience. 🌺

Great tour but long day

This was a great tour my personal thought is it was a little too long and we were all worn out at the end of the tour. The heat might have contributed to wearing us out.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing! We're glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciate your feedback about the length and heat.

Okay but not good value

After unnecessary confusion over the exact pickup spot, we were picked up (late) at the cruise port and dropped off at Pearl Harbor. The driver then came back to pick us up at a designated time and drove us back to the cruise port with no other visits—only a drive-thru at the Punch Bowl cemetery and a quick photo stop at the Royal Palace. There’s no real value. It’s basically a transfer with commentary and tickets provided.

Operator response

Aloha, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the confusion at pickup and appreciate your comments as we continue improving our service and communication.
