Ended up being just my wife and I, with our guide Nuno. Nuno was a pleasure as well as being a fount of knowledge, a carefree soul who obviously enjoys what he does. The city tour portion was a good overview, but we enjoyed - no surprise - the wine tasting the most. I enjoy Port and thought I knew a fair amount about it, but learned a great deal and the tasting itself was informative, the pours generous and Ports sampled were representative and tasty.
Great walking tour in the beautiful city of Porto. Nuno was an excellent guide. Really enjoyed the Gaia port tasting.
Visits to the winery where the port wines, namesake of this same city, were formerly raised. There were no more breeding holds.
We were the only people on the tour and received a fantastic welcome from Nuno. He was warm, friendly and very informative. We got a private tour and learnt so much about Porto. We ended in a wine cellar and learnt so much about the port wine process including tasting. He was informative and knew his wines! Again great tour and highly recommend.
Lovely tour with informative guide. Delicious Porto wine tasting. Great walk around the city. Tour guide with great energy and laughs!
A great experience with Nuno for a city walking tour and port wine tastings. He was very informative and great energy.
Nuno, our tour guide, was a local resident with much knowledge about the city now and historically. We walked for about 1,5 hours, which was perfect. I particularly enjoyed visiting the main station. In total, we enjoyed the tour and following tasting, but if was to do it over, I would probably take a hop on/ hop off tour instead, and then organize a tasting separately instead.
Nuno has vast knowledge of Porto now and then, and also of port wine making and tasting. He took us on a 3 km walk, starting high up where the city was founded (North of the river Duoro), and ended up in a port wine tasting cellar in Gaia (southbank). All along telling stories about the city in a vivid way, involving us walking with him. Finally, he gave us, by request, several recommendations on good traditional Portuguese restaurants. This tour is an absolute must for everyone visiting Porto!
Great afternoon with our guide Nuno learning about this wonderful city and ending with port tasting. Nuno’s passion for Porto shone through. Highly recommend this activity
Had a great tour, Nuno was a fantastic guide, full of energy, great at taking photos and the port tasting was fun. Would definitely recommend!
