Everything was fine except for the roadblock.

They canceled the tour and offered us to go to EK Balam due to the roadblock; however, in relation to the tour price, it is not worth it, in addition to the additional reservation tax charges. The tour and guide provided very good service, and everything was punctual.

Operator response

Experiment an awful organization

The rating seems rude but as I made other visits I can compare: -meeting point was very late 8:30 and the guide not on-time at the meeting point -organization and order of the visit was a disaster: Cenote then lunch (3h!), Chichen Itza in the afternoon at 2:30pm was very difficult too hot and Vallalolid in 25mn In comparison we took another visit and the guide picked us up at 5:00am at our hotel (not a meeting point!) by taking other people at their hotel: arrived at Vallalolid for early market at 8:30 am then visit another archeological site, lunch at 11:45 then finish by refreshing in another Cenote then come back at the hotel at 15:30 and not 20:30 Mention better in description the time and the order of the visits; that's obvious that leaving at 9:00 am for 2h of driving to reach the site is not efficient

Operator response

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that the itinerary, departure time, duration, meeting point, and the order of the activities are all clearly described in the tour details before booking. We always encourage guests to review this information carefully to ensure the experience matches their expectations. This is a shared group tour, designed to offer an affordable way to visit Chichén Itzá and the surrounding attractions. As with all shared tours, the schedule and logistics are planned to accommodate all participants, which may include multiple stops and a longer overall duration. If your preference is a faster itinerary with direct hotel pickup, fewer stops, and a customized schedule, a private tour would be the best option. While private experiences are more expensive, they provide greater flexibility and save travel time. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to provide clear information so guests can choose the experience that best suits their travel style. Warm regards.

First impressions matter…

It was just average compared to my previous experience on a similar tour. The first impression of the tour guide, Jesus, was unprofessional and he overcharged us on the balance owed. I would book with a different tour next time we go especially if you are from the US. I will leave it at that.

Operator response

Dear customer, We respect your opinion; however, it is important to clarify that the information stated in your review is not accurate. The additional amount you referred to is not an overcharge or an improper fee from our guide or our company. It is an official preservation tax required by local authorities for the conservation of the Mayan ruins, and it must be paid directly on-site. This fee is mandatory for all visitors, without exception. As a tour operator, we have no control over this charge and do not receive any benefit from it. We regret that this situation was misunderstood. Regarding your comment about the guide, we have taken note of it; however, it does not reflect the level of service we consistently provide, as recognized by the majority of our guests. We remain committed to delivering clear, transparent, and high-quality experiences for all our visitors. Sincerely

Full day, mixed activities, awesome trip.

Jose Miguel (driver) and Roberto (guide) were simply first class. Engaged a mixed group from start to finish. Had an informative patter, injected humour throughout, and answered questions carefully to ensure understanding. Would thoroughly recommend these two as first class hosts. Ian & Janet

Victor did an excellent job of describing the Mayan culture, the significance of Chechen Itza, and details of the construction of the various buildings.
