Dinner cruise

The cruise was a great way to end the trip. The food was very good, and the trip around the bay was really nice. We got to see dolphins too!

Would not recommend this cruise

Terrible experience. Very difficult to even find the marina. No signage. Ship was “low rent”. Very disappointed and would not recommend this cruise

Not the best experience

We had three people with mobility issues traveling with us and they were not able to bring their scooters/wheelchairs onboard which wasn't too bad, however, there wasn't any entertainment for us to enjoy on the main level because the band was on the upper deck. The music from the band was not piped to the down stairs level so we were listening to both the band and the speakers at the same time which was not enjoyable. There was a broken window right in front of us which was unpleasant to see all night. The women's bathroom was stopped up before we even left the dock. Fortunately, we had a deck of cards with us so we were able to play cards during the cruise. There were some drunk people misbehaving on the boat and some girls were flashing each other as they passed one another on the stairs. The food was all right. The BBQ and slaw was very good but the banana pudding was not the greatest. We recommend having some activity on the lower deck for those with mobility issues such as a cruise director playing games with the passengers. We also would have enjoyed hearing the blues band piped to all levels of the boat. It goes without saying, that it is important to make sure the bathrooms are fully functioning before guests board the vessel and it is very important to fix issues like broken windows as soon as possible since the condition of the boat is the face of the company.

Crutchfield Review

It was horrible! Food was nasty, there was NO band that played the music described! I Would not recommend this tour!

Operator response

We’re sorry you left feeling this way—but we do need to clear up a couple of points for anyone reading along. Our catering is provided by one of Charleston’s most in-demand and widely used event caterers, serving everything from weddings to large-scale events across the city. While taste is always subjective, describing the food as “nasty” is far from the consistent feedback we receive from the vast majority of our guests. As for the entertainment, we clearly advertise that we feature a rotation of different bands and performers throughout the season—not a single fixed act. The style of music you experienced was in line with what was scheduled for your cruise date, even if it wasn’t your personal preference. We genuinely want every guest to have a great time, and we appreciate the feedback—but it’s important that expectations match what’s actually communicated.

Great crew. Abundant food. Open decks are a plus. Cruised near Fort Sumter. Great sunset over Charleston.

Watch out if it’s not a high season, they may stiff you

We purchased our tickets early today for a barbecue and blues Cruise in Charleston. We were so excited and arrived one hour early for VIP reception. However, there was no boat. So we went and had drinks at the cute little bar nearby until 645 but there still was no boat. We went over to the location with other couples and there was still no boat at seven when we were supposed to board. No one from the harbor cruise notify us in anyway, any of us. No text, no phone call, no email. We were disappointed, but found another place to eat in Charleston. Not really a good way to handle a business.

Operator response

We're sorry you missed our calls, texts and emails regarding the location change. When you have a tour or event booked, it is important to pay attention to notifications in case of any changes. While we certainly never want to change anything, situations occur where we may have to utilize alternate docks (still close by) or alternate vessels. We are happy to issue a refund or rebook you in this case. Also, our offices are open until 7, so we certainly wish you would have reached out earlier when the boat was not there.

The description of the...

The description of the tour was Blues cruise but the music was not Blues music. Also food was not good at all. Definitely not worth the $75 per person charge we paid
