Join us for a 2.5-hour group boat cruise through the cherished tidal creeks of Charleston, South Carolina. This excursion includes an enlightening hour-long stop on the picturesque Morris Island, giving you the opportunity to explore its untouched beach, collect seashells, search for shark teeth, and admire the historic lighthouse. During the journey to and from the island, our naturalist captain will provide in-depth insights into the local ecosystems and historical context. Stay attentive as your captain highlights and describes the diverse wildlife you may encounter, such as Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, wading birds, pelicans, sea turtles, and more. You will depart from and return to the dock at 1871 Bowens Island Road. You can check in and out of our office along the boat landing. There are restrooms at this location.

- Please note there is a stop at Morris Island where travelers can visit for about 45 minutes to an hour. During this time, you can walk around and explore the island. However, this may pose an issue for wheelchair accessibility. Travelers have the option to remain onboard during this stop if they choose.
- Restrooms are available before departure. Please note that there are no restrooms available for the duration of the tour.
- Please arrive 15 minutes early for departure to check in at the Charleston Outdoor Adventures office. This ensures a smooth and timely start to your adventure.

Capt. Jacob was our guide and he was very engaging and had a great sense of humor. He pointed out the various ecological sights along the river and paused for the numerous Dolphin sightings we had. Great trip and great experience. Several people on the boat found sharks teeth too at the lighthouse. If you're looking for something fun to do in Charleston I would recommend you check this trip out, my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was a great experience, the meeting location was convenient, the boat was well maintained, KD, the boat captain was awesome!! Very knowledgeable and kept us very entertained on the ride there and back. We saw dolphins going and coming from the island. And, my husband even found a shark tooth. We would not have even looked if KD had not told us what to look for. Give this excursion a 10!!

This was my first experience ever with Charleston Outdoor Adventures and it was extremely positive. The company is tucked back in a residential area on a gravel road, has an office in a small building, and the facilities show some age and not at all flashy. In my professional life I was a longtime campus recreation professional and Executive Director at a larger institution with outdoor recreation as one of the areas I supervised. Arriving early I looked around at their spaces and set-up and saw well-organized equipment, enthusiastic and welcoming staff, and a detailed-oriented approach to how they conducted themselves. Sebastian and Chris were our trip leaders and kept us on schedule, reviewed important safety information, practiced good boat etiquette with people who were traveling nearby, and provided a lot of interesting information about the area, pointed out environmental characteristics of our location, the animals and vegetation in that environment and how these elements interacted to benefit the ecosystem. The trip went very smoothly, stayed on schedule, and the trip leaders interacted with the participants and genuinely appeared to enjoy what they were doing. DG

We had a lovely and relaxing afternoon on the boat and the beach. Captain Chris and Captain PJ were great and informative guides. The boat has a sizable canopy for anyone thinking about sun. Do note that there is no shade on the beach stop. Don’t skip sunscreen! Great way to enjoy a lesser known island, view the marshes and waterway, and see dolphins. Fun for all ages.
