We specialize in whale watching in small groups, 6 to 16 passengers totals on our tours, This allows for a more personalized experience and why most people chose our tours over other competitors. Our vessels are 32 and 38 feet long" and 6 to 16 passengers, Our competitors are 38 feet with over 30 passengers. If you want to feel like sardines in a can or like cattle being herded together then our competitors are the choice for you. We provide Pickup and drop off from just outside the cruise ship facility.

***Pick up time is 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO TOUR DEPARTURE TIME*** ***we DO NOT pickup at the Excursion Hub*** ***PRINT OUT OR SCREEN SHOT DIRECTIONS TO PICKUP LOCATION PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AS THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE AT ICY STRAIT POINT PORT*** ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO GET FROM YOUR SHIP TO THE PICK UP LOCATION. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE TO RIDE THE GONDOLA FROM THE WILDERNESS DOCK TO THE MAIN PORT. If you are docked at the OCEAN LANDING DOCK it will take the average walker about 10-15 minutes to walk across the port to the pickup location by the Main Gate/Shuttle Bus Round About. Walk along the boardwalk. Enter either the Cannery Museum or the Alaska Gift Shop building. Walk ALL THE WAY THROUGH either building and exit at the end. Continue past Lil Gen's Doughnut Shop, past the "Ticket" booth and continue to the Main Shuttle Bus Round About surrounded by large logs. On the far side of Round About exit between City of Hoonah Visitor Info Booth and red Security shack. Driver will be there with White Catch of the Day sign. If you are docked at the WILDERNESS DOCK you will need to allow time for the line at the FREE green gondola from the ship dock into the main port area. Exit the gondola and take the small gravel path to the Excursion Hub. Go THROUGH the Excursion Hub, past the Restrooms and enter either the Alaska Gift Shop or the Cannery Museum. Walk ALL THE WAY THROUGH the building and exit. Continue walking past Lil Gen's Doughnut Shop, past the "Ticket" booth toward the main shuttle bus round about circled by large logs. On the far side of the Round About exit between the City of Hoonah Visitor Info booth and red Security shack. Driver will be on other side of Security shack with white Catch of the Day sign.

Dennis is an excellent Captain with accuracy in locating whales plus some added comedy! The vessel is extremely clean and well maintained. My family and I were very impressed with the crew and the vessel. We saw several whales, baby whales and otters… excited is an understatement! We had an amazing time at a price significantly lower than the cruise ship excursion offered. I would go with them again. We had orcas swimming under our boat. Humpbacks were spotted and we saw some awesome whale tails. I highly recommend - even though we had an engine problem. We made it back in plenty of time.

This was a great experience start to finish. The driver picked us up promptly at the meeting point and gave us a lot of history as we were driving to the marina. Captains Justin and Dennis were so friendly and funny. The boat was well equipped and comfortable. You could hear the captains working with each other over the radio to make sure that we got to the spot where the whales were active. We saw sea lions and otters and whales, and could even hear the whales talking with each other through the hulll of the ship. This was such a beautiful and amazing experience for our family. The entire time spent on the water was breathtaking and utterly amazing! The ride back was comfortable and informative, as well. Do NOT miss this excursion!

Captain Dennis and crew made our outing special and the whale pod made it amazing! We were a small group with plenty of opportunity to capture the magic from various spots around the boat. It was a perfect weather day, water like glass and a pod of whales feeding, singing, “bubbling” and providing a spectacular experience. Captain Dennis made sure we had plenty of opportunities to view this pod, as well as a mama otter with a baby on her belly. Highly recommend this team!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family of 12 had an amazing whale watching tour in Hoonah! The shuttle arrived right on time and took us directly to the dock, where the boat was ready. The boat was clean, comfortable, and enclosed, with an outdoor deck, which made the trip enjoyable even with the Alaskan weather. The captain/owner was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and determined to give us the best experience. He stayed in communication with other guides to help locate whales, and we were lucky enough to see multiple whales. We also spotted bears along the shoreline, plus sea lions, otters, and bald eagles. The boat offered great indoor comfort with outdoor viewing access, and the waters and snacks were a nice bonus. This was a memorable excursion that our entire family truly enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience. I really appreciate the attention to the smaller details that really make a good excursion. The windows on the boat were spotless. They had small towels if needed. They even had extra cushions on the seats to make the ride more comfortable. Tour operators were friendly and knowledgeable. So many whales!!

The picture is misleading as we were told by the captains that they rarely see Orcas. That was disappointing. However, we did see Humpback whales, sea lions, bald eagles and a bear!
We are sorry you missed the Orca's, We always look for them and will run great distances if there is word of them in our area. That was not the case the day you came out with us. If you look at reviews for June 28th and June 29th there were Orcas that came into the area and our customers got to see them. Sorry again that mother nature didn't provide for us on your tour.
