Garda Tours did an amazing job of showing us the many castles on the lake and discussing the history behind them. We had a n hour long wine tasting that was also complete with side dishes to complement the wine. Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice swim in the lake for about 30 minutes. It was incredibly refreshing on a hot day. The tour handed out water frequently to keep us hydrated during the heat wave. On the way back in, you literally navigate under the drawbridge of the castle, which was just very cool. You spend about 3/4 hours on the boat riding around, but I love boating, so it was very pleasant.
More of a boat ride than a boat tour. Learned nothing about the ruins or castles asides from the names. As other reviewers mentioned, it really was just a drive by to allow us photos, but that’s about it. The captain didn’t even know how to answer some of our questions. He also played loud club music and vaped the entire ride and didn’t engage with any of the guests. The wine tasting was fine - there was only one server working for 20 of the guests so the experience was slow and didn’t allow us any time in Bardolino outside of the tasting. The captain also stopped for 5 minutes for an engine problem, but was able to quickly fix the issue. However, we ended up being 30 minutes late to Sirmione due to the captain dropping off some of the guests at a different location. Surely this was accommodating for those guests, but an inconvenience for those who were tired from the long afternoon and heat. Choose another tour if you are looking for history.
Unfortunately, no wine tasting or snacks on the agenda.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We would like to ask for some additional information regarding your comment, as what you described is quite unusual. The wine tasting is an integral part of the tour and is regularly included for all participants. For this reason, we were surprised to read that no wine tasting took place. Could you please provide us with a few more details about what happened? We look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards,
It was really great with Andrea. A really good skipper!!
I missed the tour, there is no warning that there is a car entry limitation in the port, did not let follow by car to the port, without knowing we parked the car and tried to get to it on foot, did not give time, at least best to arrive with 1 hour in advance. Even so we were comforted by a 30-minute walk.
Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced with the car access to the port. Unfortunately, access restrictions are managed by the local authorities and are beyond our control, but we understand how frustrating this must have been. We always recommend arriving at least one hour before departure to allow time for parking and walking to the meeting point. We are glad, however, that we were able to offer you a shorter 30-minute tour as a gesture of goodwill. Your comments are very valuable to us, and we will make sure to highlight the parking and access information even more clearly for future guests. We hope to welcome you again in the future for the full experience.
This tour was fine, got you out on a boat for 4 hours. Didn’t get much free time in Bardolino and wine wasting was okay. The stops past the castles were very short, not much info given about the castles it was more like a drive by. Overall the tour was good, quick and easy and was able to see a few parts of the lake
Beautiful boat ride from Sirmione Peninsular. Skipper Franco was brilliant, made everyone feel welcome and chatted to us all throughout. The castles were amazing Lake Garda is a truly beautiful place. We even saw a beautiful bride having her at one of the luxurious houses on one of the islands, then saw a young man proposing to his young lady on a private boat. Wine tasting in Bardolina was lovely, as the the place itself. The boat trip was great fun, ended with a bit of 80s music thrown in to add to the fun. Highly recommended.
The boar tour was great! The guide was friendly and likeable, the boat was comfortable and they kept the Prosecco flowing. Thoroughly worth the money!
One of our favorite experiences at lake garda ! Such a fun time on the boat seeing the wonderful views and going to bardolino for the wine tasting at the restaurant. We were even late due to traffic and they were nice enough to charter us one of their boats to take us to meet the rest of group. Wonderful customer service , would highly recommend!
Amazing afternoon, Franco was a brilliant captain keeping us all informed. Wine tasting was good and opportunity to swim was a nice bonus. Great way to see the southern lakes, highly recommend
