Cape Point and Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour
Description
Enjoy a live-guided day excursion to visit the Penguins at Boulders Beach, Cape Point (the romantic meeting place of the mighty Atlantic and Indian oceans) and the Cape of Good Hope. This tour offers you over 1 hour at the penguin beach, over 2 hours at Cape Point to fully explore this gem and Unesco Heritage site and another 30 minutes at the Cape of Good Hope. Cape Point Entry is payable on the day (South African's with photo ID or SADC members with passports can claim a discounted entry price) Lunch can be enjoyed along the way (at your own expense). You can also choose to join the optional, guided hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope (approx 40 minutes, requires medium fitness & good walking shoes). After a day spent exploring, sit back in your seat and enjoy the coastal drive back to Cape Town via Scarborough and Kommetjie, with spectacular views from the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass. Free WIFI and USB charging stations at your seat.

Muizenberg Beach is also known as "The Surfer's Corner". Brightly coloured changing huts on the beach makes for a great photo.
Kommetjie is home to the country's tallest cast-iron lighthouse, Slangkoppunt Lighthouse, built in 1919 and offers incredible views over the Atlantic

Cape Point Nature Reserve is home to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, both of which we visit on this tour and a plethora of wildlife. This includes ostrich, zebra, the Eland antelope and many more. We will stop for every sighting
Walk or take a funicular (at own cost) up to South Africa's 3rd oldest lighthouse for a 360 degree view of the National Park. The old lighthouse was commissioned in 1860 only to be decommissioned 40 years and dozens of shipwrecks later.

Had a wonderful experience on the Cape Point & Boulders Penguin full-day tour. The trip was well organized, and our guides, Horea, Windy, and Jonathan, were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey enjoyable with their enthusiasm and helpful nature. The scenery was breathtaking, and visiting the penguin colony was definitely a highlight. It would have been even better if the itinerary had included stops at Muizenberg Beach and Simon's Town, which would have made the experience more complete. Overall, it was a very enjoyable day, and I would happily recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cape Town.

I had Horea, Wendy and Johnathon. They were great. Horea was very good at pointing out sights of interest and giving us history along the drive to the cape. He also knew when to give us a break from listening which I do appreciate. Wendy made it easy to purchase tickets to penguin colony on the bus which speed things up. She also made sure we made it back to the bus when we went on 45 minute walk at Cape of Good Hope. Johnathon driving was very good. All round would definitely recommend this day trip away from Cape Town.
