The day of our guide reached out via WhatsApp to confirm pickup time. She herself was very kind and helpful, however I wish she had been able to provide us with more information about the places that we were visiting. The places we visited were great and must-sees. Communication in advance from the company itself was not good. I reached out a couple of times both via Viator message and a phone call and got no responses. I was nervous that we would have some complication as friends did the same tour the day before and were picked up 1.5 hours late, however our guide arrived on time.
It was a very nice tour, our guide Angel was very good and friendly.
When you book the excursion, they do not explain that you have to pay the toll for Champagne Peak, that you have to pay to enter Cape Cod, and you even pay to park your car on a street to go to a restaurant that is actually owned by the head of the excursion center.
We had to wait for 2 hours without any communication on the day and it was eventually cancelled. I applied for this tour with hope and expectation because I had no chance to go to the Cape of Good Hope again, and I was betrayed by the worst. It really broke my heart. I would like to claim alimony.
The ride is very cool. It's worth doing because Cape doesn't have so many options like that. I didn't like our guide. No patience and a little rough. One thing everyone needs to know is that this tour is more of a transportation than a ride. You need to buy a ticket to enter the Cape of Good Hope, the boat tour that sees seals and sea lions and also pays to enter the penguin sanctuary. When we stop for lunch the guide already leads directly to the restaurant she chooses. I didn't like it either. The van isn't good either. Other than that, it's worth it.
The ride was very cool. The guide Armando was spectacular, funny to the right extent, very attentive and gave to see that he likes what he does, a mild and super pleasant climate. The locations are very cool. I had not bothered that I had to buy the separate tickets, which were wellmm more expensive than the value of the tour so pay attention to whoever is to buy, need to pay to see the penguins, to enter the park and to climb the table mountain. But it was super cool.
Everything happened within the expected time and schedule. Eli was a separate attraction. Great driver and guide. He made all the difference on this ride.
You'll see several of Cape Town's famous attractions, the route is well designed, the time is tight and the guides are great! It's important to note that there is plenty of time in the car too, so it's best to bring snacks and water, although you will also have many stops to buy. The guide is excellent, detailed and the driving skills are good. The tourists are friendly and everyone is concerned for each other's safety
