From Hobart to Bruny Island is about 45 minutes. At the ferry terminal, we expect to hop on the ferry with a mini-bus and have about 20-25 minutes of travel time.

Located in the heart of Bruny Island, Bruny Island Cheese and Beer Co. is a must-visit destination for food lovers. Known for its handcrafted cheeses and small-batch craft beers, the venue offers a relaxed farm setting where visitors can taste authentic Tasmanian flavours. With a strong focus on local ingredients and traditional methods, it delivers a true paddock-to-plate experience that reflects the character and quality of the island.
There may be 200 or so stairs to climb, but the views are definitely worth it. The Neck Lookout gives you a bird's eye view of the spectacular natural landscape of North and South Bruny Island.
The Lunawanna Cafe, serving great coffee and food in a whimsical setting celebrating the extraordinary beauty and rich natural diversity of Bruny Island. A cafe at the southernmost end of an island, off an island, off an island. Next stop the South Pole! Make your last resort your first choice. A feast for both the eyes and the stomach.
Cloudy Bay is a beautiful place for explorers and adventurers. A short walking track into the nature which holds a beauty of South Bruny National Park. You are having a sense of wilderness and connection to the ocean and the forest.
Adventure Bay Bruny Island is known for its beautiful 7km long, east-facing beach. It has a sheltered feel with many large gum trees surrounding the beach and the cliffs of Fluted Cape on the southern end. It’s got a relaxed Australian beach town feel, and unlike many of these towns, it’s managed to keep this vibe without becoming commercialized. Explore Island wild animals such as Echidna, White Wallabies, Quolls, etc.
The Honey Pot and Bruny Island Honey are the houses of honey venues of the Wright family’s proudly run lifelong collaboration between our family, the bees, and the Tasmanian Wilderness.

This was a brilliant day of touring and seeing sights. Our guide Chaboo was so friendly and very knowledgeable regarding the island, he explained cultures and information regarding the destinations that we visited. Definitely a must tourist destination, particularly if you can get the best guide Chaboo!!

Huge thanks to Chaboo who was a friendly and enthusiastic guide. He even brought binoculars so we could look out for birds and whales! A lot packed into the day with some lovely places to stop and delicious food.

We had an amazing full-day tour to Bruny Island today! Everything was well-paced and not rushed, which made the whole experience really relaxing and enjoyable. We got to enjoy fresh, delicious oysters, taste some great local beer, and even saw a wild white wallaby — such a special moment! Chaboo was an interesting guide. He was a bit slow off the mark but impressed me latter. The spots we stopped at were interesting and the food options were moorish. The cheeses & the ice-cream were delicious. Some better coordination with the lunch vender may have taken the time stress away but in the end the food from the Bruny Hotel was very nice and massive in size. We went hunting for the white (albino) wallabies but alas to no avail BUT the wallabies we saw were gorgeous and the echidna was a treat. Overall well done
