Start your journey with a hotel pickup and head to Bom Jesus Sanctuary, admiring its iconic baroque staircase and panoramic views. Explore Braga Cathedral, the oldest in Portugal, with exclusive access to its chapels and high choir. Savor a traditional meal at a local restaurant paired with the region’s famous Vinho Verde wine. Step back in time with a peaceful stroll through this enchanting medieval city. Visit the legendary Guimarães Castle, where Portugal was born, and explore the Palace of the Dukes, showcasing the splendor of royal life. At the end we still have time to stroll around the city center.

Itinerary
We start our tour on the top of the mountain and visit the most magnificent Sanctuary in Portugal and its magical staircase.
Known for the city of the Archbishops where we will visit its historical center, visit the interior of the Cathedral. We will have exclusive access to the interior of the chapels as well as the high choir of the monument.
Stop for a delicious lunch at the Diana Restaurant where the intense flavors of the northern cuisine of Portugal combined with the Vinho Verde (Green Wine).
The oldest castle in Portugal was where the first Portuguese king grew up and has a very important significance and a reference to the country's independence.
The Palace of the Dukes where we are dazzled by the luxuries of royalty from other times. A whole history of Portugal will be told by our local guides who have always followed the group.
At the end of the day we invite our visitors to discover the romantic medieval city of the historic center of Guimarães. We will stroll through the narrow old streets of the city and possibility for some souvenir shopping.

Nuno was hands down one of the best guides we could have ever asked for. He was incredibly knowledgeable on our day trip to Braga and Guimares. We went to several churches and had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We learned more about the Catholic faith which in turn has strengthened our faith. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!

This tour was amazing! Our guide, Jorge, picked us up on time and drove us first to Braga where we did some sightseeing and had a fabulous lunch. From there we went to Guimaraes for more sightseeing and had a little extra time to explore the old town. Jorge was very knowledgeable, providing us with the history about each place we visited. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Jorge! You will love these two cities!

This was an amazing tour. Miguel was so knowledgeable about the history of Braga and Guimeres and took us to some stunning churches and castles. We have a fantastic lunch at Maria's restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour.

Jorge was a great guide. Informative, engaging, always ready with an answer to a question. Kept us on schedule with clear directions, had a great lunch set up for us. I’ll say though, the experience felt a little weak esp after the second location (Guimaraes) just wasn’t worth the travel IMO.

This tour was wonderfully laid out and planned. Our tour guide was Nuno and he was very accommodating. The trip starts from top to bottom and you don’t have to climb back up or back track, Nuno would give us time to enjoy and he would go retrieve the vehicle and pick us up. Nuno was very knowledgeable and gave us the most information of the whole trip to Portugal. He knew all of the details and the history. The restaurant we ate at was Diana Restaurant, which was delicious. Overall, the level of service on this trip was excellent. The design of the trip was superb and the trip we thought we might skip was one of the best. I highly recommend if you like visiting non-touristy places (where locals live) and are into history.

From beginning to end on time service pick up and our tour guide Miguel S. was exceptional. Miguel was knowledgeable and knows his history regarding Portugal and then some! The restaurant Daniel was absolutely lovely and the food was delicious! We wish we had more time to shop! So many quaint little shops to explore! Excellent day! Thank you Miguel!

Loved it. Plenty of time to explore. Guide was excellent. I really enjoyed the lunch. And the attractions just staggering in their beauty. Take the time to walk up the stairs at the church - they are not steep so it's an easy and enjoyable climb.
