Great way to see the sites and architecture of the city and then decide places you want to visit. I’ve taken Hop-On-Hop-Off double decker tours in Europe also, and find that I get to see more than one area.
I have been on a number of hop on hop off buses and this was not the best. The guide was fine, the driver food, the sights ok. It is a short route and focuses on the history of Boston, an important city in the colonial US. Adding stops.closer to.the Harbour and including information on Bristish Boston would have enhanced the trip. The whole trip is just over an hour and very expensive for what you get.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your comments and suggestions regarding the route and historical content. We’re glad you enjoyed the guide and driver, and we’ll continue working to improve the experience for our guests. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Boston Sight Seeing trolley tours to think twice. DO NOT BOOK. Our experience ended after ONE stop when our trolley was violently struck by another tour bus company. It was a frightening situation, and we sat there for 45 minutes in the heat while paramedics, fire crews, and police responded. Passengers were shaken, confused, and understandably concerned about whether it was safe to continue. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of communication from ownership and customer service. There was no meaningful outreach, no concern shown for passengers by management, other than by our sweet driver, and no effort to reassure people during or after the incident. Some passengers chose to leave altogether because of how uncomfortable and unsettled the situation felt. After emergency responders cleared the scene, we were told the trolley was safe to continue operating, so we got back on board. But the remainder of the tour was stripped of the actual experience we paid for — there was no commentary, no normal tour experience, just transportation to the final stop. We requested a refund because this was clearly not a normal “change of plans” situation — this was an extraordinary circumstance involving an accident and emergency response. We were denied in person and then denied twice more online, with the company simply pointing to a “no refunds” policy. Policies should not replace common sense or basic customer care. When customers experience a tour interrupted by a collision, emergency responders, heat, uncertainty, and a significantly diminished experience, hiding behind policy instead of making things right says everything about how a company values its customers. Extremely disappointing customer service and an experience I would never repeat.
Great experience . Wonderful staff. Will tecommend again to visit. Very nice. Approachable staff, helpful
Somewhat difficult locating pick-up locations. We circled 1 part of Boston 2X for some strange reason. Other than that informative ride that is a bit pricy. Jim Jersey Shore
The double decker bus was great! Beautiful views and “Crafty” was a terrific tour guide and driver! Loved hearing the history of the area in a funny relaxed way!
You need to ask how many stops are a part of the one day pass. I was only able to do an 8 stop tour (which I could have walked). I thought it had purchased the one with more stops. The tour guide was good tho.
1. The instructions lack where to go! That should be the basic, but neither the Viator nor the booking email had the location to go to! 2. Customer service is poor. I booked at 2:50, thinking that it says till 5. But soon got panicky, because no one picked my phone. I emailed in panic as well. So, I booked a cab to go to the nearest hop-on point. Lucky for me, they called me and told me the point to go to. By that time I was in Uner, so I changed destination. But, even the starting point was not accurate land mark! They told me Aquarium T station, but it was 2 streets away at the opposite corner at Aquarium itself! Lucky for me, my son spotted the busses standing 200 meters away. Bottomline, they should be clear in instructions on where to go, and they should have a hot-line to call. Still, once we got in, it was not that bad for last bus of the day. We felt lucky that we did not miss it. So, I wouldn't book it next time if closer to end time for the day. You must have a buffer of at least 3 hours, it would seem!
Nice way to see all the neighborhoods. A little disappointed that we had to diviate from the original route and missed some historical sites.
