Itinerary
Witness the stunning Borobudur Temple, The biggest Buddhist temple in the world. Enjoy the sacred atmosphere and beautiful scenery surrounding the temple. Built between 778 and 850 AD during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty, the temple design follows Javanese Buddhist architecture, which blends the Indonesian indigenous tradition of ancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining nirvaṇa. The temple demonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflect India's influence on the region, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated to make Borobudur uniquely Indonesian.
Explore the cultural heritage of Yogyakarta by visiting Yogyakarta Sultan Palace and learning the history of the Yogyakarta Kingdom. The Royal Palace of Yogyakarta or in the Indonesian language called Kraton Yogyakarta is a palace complex in the city of Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. It is the seat of the reigning Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family. The complex is a center of Javanese culture and contains a museum displaying royal artifacts. It is guarded by the Yogyakarta Kraton Guards.
Taman Sari Water Castle, also known as Taman Sari is the site of a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. It is located about 2 km south within the grounds of the Kraton, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Built in the mid-18th century, the Taman Sari had multiple functions, such as a resting area, a workshop, a meditation area, a defense area, and a hiding place. Taman Sari consisted of four distinct areas: a large artificial lake with islands and pavilions located in the west, a bathing complex in the center, a complex of pavilions and pools in the south, and a smaller lake in the east. Today only the central bathing complex is well preserved, while the other areas have been largely occupied by the Kampung Taman settlement.
Visit Prambanan Temple, another Unesco World Heritage Site, a beautiful Hindu temple. Fully recharge your spirit by enjoying the temples in the Prambanan Complex. Prambanan Temple is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, in southern Java, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimūrti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometers northeast of the city of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. Prambanan temple compounds originally consisted of 240 temple structures, which represented the grandeur of ancient Java's Hindu art and architecture, and are also considered as a masterpiece of the classical period in Indonesia. Prambanan attracts many visitors from around the world.

What an amazing journey! Four incredible experiences all in one day. Long day but worth it. Prompt early morning pick up by my driver and guide Fajar, who made the hand off process seamless, as each site had its own dedicated expert tour guide. This tour is highly recommended, especially if your time in Yogyakarta is brief - You will see all four the most important sites all in one day. Thank you Fajar!
My daughter and me had a fantastic experience with Fucjar, everything was well organized and we felt very comfortable with his company.
Fajar was great. He was always on time, drove safely, and knew someone at every temple to ensure we had quick access to a guide and ticket. The VIP entry to Borobudur was definitely worth it - we went up early with few people around. Fajar had great tips for dinner in Yogyakarta too! He even brought us warm pastries in the morning made by him and his wife.
Very amazing tour. To Visit all the sites in a day is not so easy, due to a lot of traffic, but if you have few time is the only way. Our driver Fajar was great! He gave us many information about the city and the sites, and was able to carry us to all the temples in time! Everything was planned perfectly. A beautiful day
We visited Yogyakarta on the first day of Ramadan. unknowingly avoided the crowded period since it was school holiday before it. It was hot and humid in the daytime but that was all worth it. Our driver, Eko, is super nice and easy to talk to. All the entry tickets were arranged for so there's no hassle for us at all. All the tour guides at these places are professional and fluent in English. One of the best tours we have ever had.
Eko, our driver pick up UA on time at 3:50am, drove to Setembu hill for sunrise observation. We tools a lot of photos. The Borobudur temple is 2 km far away so you need special equipment in order to getthe temple in your photos. We use cell phone so only sunrise. We have plenty of time before the temple open so Eko took us to visit Mendut temple and monastery which is not in the program. Eko took care us very well all the way till 6pm to get back to our hotel. Thanks Eko, Thanks to borobudursunrise.com. Highly recommend.
Very good tour of prambanan hindu, taman sari water garden ,sultan palace and borobudur budhist temple. Faisal our driver was very helpful and polite. Everything was done in a timely manner.
We really loved the tour, especially with our guide Eko. He was super kind and knowledgeable. The tour was super nice, we got to see the temples. Eko borrowed us his umbrella which was very much appreciated due to the storm we had visiting one of the temples
