Borobudur 5-hour Tour with Climb up Guarantee and Transfers

Driver was timely and very courteous and turned us over to the local guide for the temple visit. That guide was fantastic! As a woman, I was wrapped in a clean, light cotton sarong for the visit at no charge and while we were issued single use thong style slippers to wear for the climb, my husband and I are old so we had permission to wear our sneakers to avoid trips or falls. No hard shoes, though. It is hot, be prepared with hats, sunscreen, and drink the water they issue. Another old couple came ill prepared, and she suffered heat exhaustion only one level up. Due to the guides pacing, we were able to go all the way up to the stupa. Well done!

The temple was nothing like I had ever seen. They provide you with handmade sandals that you must wear to climb the stairs at Borobudur. This is to protect the monument because they get so many visitors. Our driver Yuni was great and entertaining. Would recommend this tour.

We had the absolute best time exploring the temple because everything was organised perfectly. Our driver was Ardhan from Jogja Borobudur Tour and Travel, but he did much more than just the transport. He helped us with the tickets and made everything go super smoothly. After, he walked with us all the way to the tour starting point and gave some extra information. When we went back to the hotel, there was some traffic but it was no problem at all since Ardhan was really fun to talk with. His English is amazing and he knows so much about the city and Java/Indonesia in general. We asked him many questions that he was happy to answer. If you can, try to book with him! Furthermore, the communication with the company and the driver was perfect. They send you an update about the booking and the driver will also contact you beforehand to make sure everything goes smoothly on the day itself. We definitely recommend this tour! Some extra information: we went in the morning which means there weren't a lot of people visiting the temple. So it was very relaxed and not crowded. The drive takes about one hour and you will spend 1 hour on the temple structure. But it also takes a bit of time to get there and to get assigned to your tour leader, so 5 hours is a good estimate of the time you need in total.

We had a lovely time with Yos! He was very friendly, save driver and a great guide who could tell a lot about the environment of Yogyakarta and the history. We where very happy to meet him and he was a lovely addition to our visit here. He was very clear and fast with communication and very punctual with time. 10/10 would recommend booking. If you're in a family, this is where you should go. A visit day was very peaceful and bright. The guide Ardhan was very friendly and friendly and the way to Borobudur was very comfortable.
