My wife and I took the tour with Nicholas as the guide and he did an excellent job. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this tour that includes hors de'ouvres, alcoholic drink, calamari snack and Gelato.
We arrived in Bari at lunchtime and we decided to book this tour in the evening. So glad we did as we met the lovely Anna. She was amazing and very kind. My group and I really enjoyed the evening and tried some amazing foods. Anna was so friendly, warm, professional, knowledgeable . If you are booking this tour I really hope you are lucky enough to have Anna as your guide. Anna - thanks again for creating great memories and making our trip start on a high ! Kelly from London
Guide Frederica was lovely. . Ok tour but we just ate foccacia, fried squid and a pastry in places along seafront. One glass of wine only which was a bit mean! Nothing I couldn’t find myself. Needs a bit more thought to provide more interest.
We are from England and Scotland and more often than not, when we travel we take a tour like this. The food in Bari generally, was exceptional as expected, but the food on this tour was of equally high quality. Unfortunately, I didn't make a note of the places we visited. But the first place, - where we had fried seafood in a cone - was my favourite food of our visit to Bari. I could have easily eaten it again. The food was almost as delicious in the second place -the San Nico Urban. If, like me, you enjoy spicy food you must try the focaccia assassina. But there were other delights, in particular the breaded polenta which was a more than pleasant surprise. The drinks were very good too - I have never in fifty years seen my wife manage this quantity The dessert offering was somewhat of an anticlimax given the rest of the tour. But the location was fabulous, bearing in mind the timing as it coincided with the sunset over the Adriatic. We had the tette del monache, which I can definitely recommend. Special thanks to Federica, our guide. It must have been hard because the weather wasn't great and the tour was unaccountably not well-attended. I'd recommend this tour, especially in the evening, for anyone interested in the local street food and Bari in general.
Lorena was wonderful. She made good choices on the food and we were very full when we ended. She also was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic with amazing details. We would recommend her highly
Lorena is an enthusiastic and informative guide. We were the only 2 guests on the tour and it was too cold to stand on the promenade - clearly not Lorena’s fault. The street food involved 4 stops with a drink in one of these. The weather meant we were indoors and lost the sunset s as it was cloudy.
The food tour was absolutely delicious and we rate it at the highest level. Due to the rain, the tour did not fully follow the schedule described on the website, and one of the listed landmarks was no longer there. However, this did not take away from the experience. Lorena made the tour very enjoyable by sharing fun little anecdotes along the way. We tasted amazing local food from Bari and by the end we were happily full and a bit tipsy. Thank you, Lorena, for a great experience!
Do not make dinner reservations for after this tour! The walk was beautiful, and the food was delicious and plentiful; wine, too! Lorena was a fun and accommodating hostess. She was on time, told great stories, gave us interesting information about Bari, and treated us like we were VIP guests in her city. We loved every minute of our tour.
Anna was a very knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed her company, the food and drink tasting experience and also learning about the history of Bari. Would definitely recommend this tour. Was a nice relaxed pace and we were not at all rushed.
This tour was excellent! I had a really good time on this food tour through Bari. Ana was super informative, fun, and clearly passionate about both the city and its food culture. The food stops were well chosen – very varied and definitely not touristy at all. I would definitely recommend this tour for all the foodies! A must-do
