Up and top experience in a fantastic setting! Loubna and Fatima taught us the tricks of Moroccan baking. First by making dough for bread that we brought to the local oven in the medina to bake it...top experience! Furthermore, we made delicious coconut cookies that we were allowed to snack on when they were ready with a nice Moroccan tea...This experience deserves 11/10!
Our family (2 kids ages 10 and 8 plus parents) did the baking class. It was phenomenal. Miriam and Fatima were so kind and welcoming and taught us how to make Moroccan bread and pastries. They also walked us to the communal oven where we got to cook our food. Our youngest said it was the best thing that we did it Morocco. Highly recommend!
The experience was incredible, from the location, which seems like an enchanted garden inside the chaotic medina, to the food we made and that you get to taste at the end and take home, to especially the staff! They were some of the most welcoming people we have ever met and took interest in us and our culture and taught us about theirs and even a few words of arabic. Can't recommend this class enough!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Baking Class at Palais Amani. We learned how to make the traditional Moroccan bread by hand. Our teachers were great and very patient. After our bread was prepared we walked to the communal oven to have it baked, then returned to make some lovely traditional cookies and a fabulous layered custard and fruit dessert, an extra dish not part of the menu. The kitchen was clean and bright on the terrace of a beautiful riad. When all was done we sat in the garden to enjoy what we had made with mint tea. Olive oil was provided for dipping the bread along with a bowl of delicious olives. We learned so much from everyone and can highly recommend this class. Thank you to everyone. 😀

I went to visit the hostel rooftop and prepared some dishes with a local cook. We visited a traditional shared oven and I got to prepare citrus small puffs and semoule bread

We had the personable Abdul and amazing Dada guide us through the baking of traditional semolina bread and coconut biscuits on the gorgeous rooftop of the Palais Amani. We visited the communal baking oven in the streets of the Medina where the bread was baked. Abdul explained the history behind the chef’s status in society and the history of the products we baked. Dada showed us her expert technique which we desperately tried to emulate. The bread on the head through the Medina was a skill to behold! We savoured our creations in the beautiful gardens of Palais Amani with the gracious tea master who showed us how to make, present and pour a glass.

An absolutely fabulous location to spend a couple of hours or so learning to make some Moroccan treats. A glass or two of mint tea and then we were introduced to our instructor (Wafa) and our host. Facilities were perfect and the class was both fun and instructive. An added bonus was taking the bread to the community bakery to be baked. Getting to see how that facility worked was fascinating. Whist leaving the bread to bake, we returned to the Palais Amani for more tea and then back to the kitchen to make coconut & lemon cakes. Returning to the bakery to collect the finished bread and one final round of mint tea whilst we waited for the cakes. This really is a beautiful location with super people who made the afternoon so rewarding.
