Embark on a day exploring Hoi An on foot, one of the best ways to take in the city’s charm. While exploring the small yet beautiful town, tourists and frequent visitors alike find that it is a place of quiet and peace. The unique atmosphere here combines elements of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese culture. Some of the most remarkable views of the city are from the ancient houses. From here, visitors can catch a glimpse of a long gone past, a more subdued and simple time. The tour includes visits to Hoi An Museum, many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, assembly halls of Chinese influence, an art craft manufacturing workshop, and of course the must-see Japanese Covered Bridge. An optional stop is at the private home of Diep Dong Nguyen (subject to availability) to view a stunning collection of pottery, seals and old Hoi An photographs. Your tour will conclude at either 11:00AM or 5:30PM depending on your tour start-time chosen.

On this tour you cover 5 main places of interest. They are topical and nice. The tour usually is done in about 2 hrs. max. You are then free to walk around the market on your own and explore the place. We didn’t buy anything here as we were not keen on getting any clothes stitched for us. However, for those who want new clothes to be stitched, this is the best place to get tailormade clothes. There are hundreds of shops where you can get your clothes stitched. The variety of material & colours that you get in Hoi An market is simply vast Usually, the good hotels have a free shuttle transfer to a designated spot near the market. The service though is at a pre-determined time, so one must check the schedule if you have to avail of this free pick up back from the market to the hotel.
We enjoyed this tour very much. The places we visited were interesting and the guide was very informative. The tour included a very good performance of traditional music and dance.
This was a very enjoyable tour around Hoi An old town. Our guide, Anna, shared very interesting information about HoiAn. I recommend this tour to learn about the historic old town area. We walked to the old Japanese bridge, an old home, a temple, walked the market, walked along the water, went to a show. Our guide Anna then recommended a great place for a Banh mi sandwich dinner. This was a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommended Thank you.
We had a wonderful walking tour of Hoi An. Jun was an excellent guide - friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed her description of the history and culture of Hoi An and, more broadly, life in Vietnam. We went for an 8am tour and missed the crowds. We highly recommend this tour.
