My husband and I learned so much during this 2 hour Anne Frank walking tour with our guide, Daniel. First, this does not include tickets to the house but that’s okay. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about history. He made the tour very interesting and we got to see the city at the same time. Rather than simply pointing out landmarks, he brought the history of Nazi-occupied Amsterdam to life by explaining the events, the people, and the persecution they faced. We visited important historical sites throughout the city, learned about the persecution of the Jewish community and gained a much deeper understanding of Anne’s story and the history surrounding it. Daniel welcomed questions and made sure everyone in the group felt included. If you’re visiting Amsterdam, I highly recommend taking this tour, even if you aren’t able to get tickets inside the Anne Frank House. We walked away with a greater appreciation for this chapter of history than we would have by simply seeing the building from the outside. Especially for Otto Frank, Anne’s father. Thank you, Daniel, for an unforgettable and educational experience.
