Both scenic and historic Lubeck is a wonderful town to walk around. The guide was knowledgeable and informative. A fabulous time was had by our group .
I went on this tour because it was cheaper than the ones the cruise provided. I'm very happy I went on this tour. The guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about Lubeck. She took us to some fabulous locations and gave us ample time to explore Lubeck on our own. There is some walking, but it wasn't overbearing for those who may be nervous about the amount.
Beautiful mid evil town, loved it.Our guide Maria was awesome. The only thing we would change is the 2 hours of free time,1 to 1.5 is more than plenty. Its over an hour drive each way from Kiel cruise port to Lubeck and back ,so it makes a long day,but well worth it.
Dear Sophia, Thank you very much for your lovely review and for joining the Lübeck tour. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful “medieval” (definitely not “evil” 😄) town and that Maria made the experience so enjoyable for you. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the free time and the long travel distance from Kiel. The drive is indeed a bit over an hour each way, so we understand your point about the overall pacing of the day, and your comments are very helpful for future improvements. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future. Kind regards, Natalia Vexperio Team
We were put on a bus and sent on a silent ride to Lubeck. We were greeted by Carolin. She was delightful, personable and knowledgeable. 2 hours of free time was nice. Having been our first time to Germany, would have been nice to have someone talk on the bus both ways. Don’t miss a stop at the marzipan shop Niederegger.
Dear Kim, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time in Lübeck and that Carolin made such a positive impression. Regarding the journey to and from Lübeck, the tour is operated with a dedicated local guide who meets the group upon arrival in the city rather than accompanying guests on the coach transfer. This allows us to provide expert local guiding in the destination itself. This arrangement is outlined in the tour description, although we understand that some guests may still expect commentary during the coach journey. Thank you again for your valuable feedback and for recommending the Niederegger marzipan shop. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
We were scheduled for Hamburg with the same company but our tour was canceled because there were not enough people. We were given the option of Lubeck or refund. We were met at the cruise terminal by a friendly man that checked us in and took us to our bus. We boarded the bus and were left with a bus driver who spoke very little English because we were to meet our guide at our destination. So no commentary or questions could be answered in route. Upon arrival Mary was waiting for us and did a great job with the tour; however, we were not provided listening devices. We would walk, gather around with 24 others and listen to her tell about each landmark. The area was very much a mix of modern and medieval sites. It is not a community that is very proud of its ancient heritage. After our tour we were returned to our bus with our driver and returned to the cruise terminal. He was well rehearsed in his English for “Welcome back to port, Goodbye.” The tour company could do so much more to enhance this experience for the cost.
Dear Michele, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that your original Hamburg tour had to be cancelled due to insufficient participation. We understand this can be disappointing, and we appreciate your flexibility in joining the Lübeck alternative tour. Regarding the guide arrangement, the tour is designed so that the local guide joins the group in the destination city. This is outlined in the tour description, however we are sorry if this was not fully clear prior to the tour. We appreciate your comment and will continue working to make this even more transparent for future guests. We are very glad to hear that Mary provided a great tour in Lübeck. It is indeed a beautiful city with a unique blend of medieval and modern architecture, and we are pleased you had the opportunity to explore it. Thank you again for your honest feedback, which helps us improve our service. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
The bus was 20 minutes late to pick us up at the ship. 2 hours of free time in city was too long. If I had a map I might have explored city more but didn't want to go too far from meeting place. Those were the negatives. Annie(sp??) the tour guide was excellent with lots of information and pictures.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry that the delayed pickup and the free time in Lübeck did not fully meet your expectations. Our tour is designed to combine a guided introduction to the city with independent time for guests to explore at their own pace, shop, or enjoy a meal. We appreciate your feedback regarding maps and orientation, as this may help future guests make the most of their free time. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour overall and that Annie made such a positive impression with her knowledge and enthusiasm. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to her. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio
Our tour guide was excellent. Meet us at the cruise for it. Got us back to the cruise ship on time! Loved Lubeck, especially the cathedral!
The Travel time pier to Lubeck and return is approx 3 hours. Walking tour 2 hours tour and 2 hours free time.
Dear Deborah, Thank you for your feedback. The travel time from Kiel Port to Lübeck is approximately 1.5 hours each way. The full tour duration is around 7 hours in total, including the guided walking tour and approximately 1.5 hours of free time at the end, depending on the available schedule. We are always very open to comments and suggestions on how we can improve the experience, and we truly value your input. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Warm regards, Natalia Vexperio Team
The guide and drive on this trip from the cruise port was great. I would recommend taking this trip if you are limited in time.
This was a perfect trip while on our cruise. The bus was very clean and the 90 minutes ride from the port was very comfortable. Once we arrived in Lübeck, our guide met up with us and took us on a wonderful walking tour of the city. We also had about 90 minutes after the tour to do some shopping. We made it back to the cruise port in plenty of time. We highly recommend this your.
