This was an exceptional boat tour. I learned a whole bunch about the history of Hamburg. Our tour guide kept us interested and he spoke Germ and English very well. He had a great sense of humor. I unfortunately do not recall his name! He was very handsome as well!
Very informative and versatile. If you are interested in the Port of Hamburg, this tour is ideal. No large groups and therefore plenty of space.
The boat trip was amazing. It ran perfectly to time and the Abicht app translation allowed us to follow the journey in English, which was great. The Captain of the boat was humorous and gave lots of interesting insights into the life and history of the harbour (mainly in German, also in English). It was fascinating to see enormous cargo ships close-up and also go through the lock with other boats. The views of the different styles of buildings, from very old to very new, were brilliant! We would definitely recommend this boat tour :-)
THIS TOUR IS NOT IN ENGLISH! We could not understand anything. Make sure that you have a phone with earphones and internet! Not that interesting.
The tour itself was very nice, but the tour guide should be replaced. Because of that, one could not enjoy this tour.
The boat captain spoke only in German and there was no English translation I wouldn’t have booked if I knew that. He also was not friendly when he did speak English when we boarded ant the dock and made several others uncomfortable with his carcass comments. Ruined the entire event. Also finding the boat took me several messages with the Viator message person and still was unclear. No posted signs or directions. Wouldn’t recommend especially if elderly and not German!
Starting place not found. Sailing on the wrong boat. Pick-up spot very unclearly indicated.
This boat tour advertised access to the tour in English. We found out after the boat left the pier that we were expected to install an APP on our phones which would give the tour in English. We were unable to access the APP so we had no translation of the guides words spoken in German. Plus, in trying to download the APP we missed the historic section of the tour which is what we were most interested in. The time spent in this section of the harbor was miniscule compared to the time spent in the modern functioning harbor.

Very nice experience especially with the guide on the boat . He did really well and he really brought Gaudi into the audience. End of the song anytime gladly with him on the boat again
