The sweet-spot months
October to April brings warm, sunny days and comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the pyramids — the prime time to visit Giza.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Pleasantly warm by day and cool at night, perfect for sightseeing; the busiest and most comfortable season at the pyramids.
Spring & autumn
October–November and March–April are warm and pleasant, with fewer crowds than midwinter — excellent times to visit.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Very hot, often over 38°C; visit the pyramids early morning, carry water and avoid the midday sun.

Inside-pyramid ticket
Entering the Great Pyramid needs a separate, limited ticket — buy it early in the day or pre-book, as numbers are capped.
