Pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Travel to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit President Sadat Museum and visit the open court where you can see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater nearby. Our guide will explain the design of the library from outside, you will have a chance for some photo stops. Note: Alexandria library is closed on Fridays ,Saturdays & in public holidays. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket.
Visiting the insides of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock
You will also drive by Pompay's Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century)
We will walk by the excavation site of the Old Roman City of Alexandria, including Roman villas, the Amphitheater Ruins, Alexandria's Great Tomb excavation site, and various ruins. Please note that we will not be visiting the interior of these sites but will enjoy an external view while our guide shares insights into their historical significance.
The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa,
Continue your tour by passing through the oldest market area in Mansheya and see the traditional womens’ markets (zan’et etsetat) with very thin and narrow streets, gold market also exists here where everyone buys their wedding and engagement jewellery.

The car will then transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, allowing for a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.Walk by the oldest funfair in Egypt
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbour where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing. Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.
Once in Montaza Gardens, commonly known as the Love Garden (all romantic couples and families go there) you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as walk along the famous Montaza bridge and reach the Tea Palace island and see the royal beaches of the queens. Then travel in comfort back to your hotel in Cairo.

Mohammed was an excellent guide. He took us to the Library of Alexandria, the catacombs as well as a beautiful masjid and church. He had great historical facts about each site, was very warm annd easy going and answered all our groups questions with ease. Highly recommended if your interested in exploring Alexandria
My pickup location was slightly outside of the allowed area, but they made an exception for me. The tour guide, Mohammed, was very nice and professional. I just finished a tour of Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, so the only thing I still wanted to do was Alexandria. I’m glad I did this tour.
Had a great tour with Karim as the tour guide and the driver Karam. Both were highly knowledgeable and engaged, and catered to our dietaries for lunch!

From the beginning everyone was very punctual, the entrance tickets were always on time, we really didn't wait to enter anywhere, Karina our guide gave us enough time at each stop to take photos and refresh ourselves, I loved how friendly and good-vibed she was, plus she and our driver seemed to know everyone in the Alexandria area so it was a wonderful experience.
This was an Amazing tour and experience. The drive to Alexandria is a bit Long but Well worth it. Our tour guide Mohammed was a Living encyclopedia of knowledge and made sure we got so much great information on all of our stops. He made sure there was enough time each place and made sure everyone was okay and ready to move on from place to place. The food included in the trip was delicous and a great Way to end the trip before returning Home.
The day went well: pickup on time, very good communications, excellent and very knowledgeable guide in Alexandria, lots to see and not too much driving in the city. Lunch at a beautiful spot overlooking the city although the lunch itself was forgettable. The only complaint was the driver who was reckless, broke every rule in the law, fiddled with his phone and fought sleepiness on the return. Quite scary.
We have the luck of having Mahmoud, a knowledgeable archeologist. Unfortunately, none of the old Alexandria remained.
We had a great stay in Alexandria. The driver arrived at the hotel well ahead of schedule. The drive was very pleasant. Mohamed was our guide; he impressed us with his vast knowledge and perfect English. The day trip was well worth it.
