Ihr Abenteuer beginnt an unserem privaten Pier in Puerto Juárez. Bei der Ankunft genießen Sie eine leichte Kaffeepause, während Sie Ihren Fortgeschrittener und den Rest der Gruppe treffen. Vor dem Einsteigen wird Ihr Fortgeschrittener eine Sicherheitseinweisung geben, den Reiseplan, Reiseroute und nützliche Tipps zum Schwimmen mit den Walhaien teilen. Sobald alle bereit sind, ist es Zeit, das Boot zu entern und sich auf die Suche nach diesen herrlichen sanften Riesen zu machen.
Nach der Abfahrt von unserem privaten Pier in Puerto Juárez fahren Sie über das kristallklare türkisfarbene Wasser der mexikanischen Karibik. Unterwegs passieren Sie die wunderschöne Küste von Isla Mujeres, bevor Sie weiter vor die Küste fahren, wo sich das Meer in tiefe, lebendige Blautöne verwandelt. Halten Sie während der Reise Ausschau nach Delfinen, Meeresschildkröten, Rochen und Seevögeln, die häufig entlang der Route gesichtet werden. Sobald wir im Walhaigebiet angekommen sind, werden der Kapitän und Fortgeschrittener nach den besten Möglichkeiten suchen, sich diesen großartigen Tieren unter Beachtung aller Naturschutzvorschriften sicher zu nähern. Wenn Sie an der Reihe sind, begeben Sie sich paarweise mit Ihrem zertifizierten Fortgeschrittener ins Wasser, um ein unvergessliches Schnorchelerlebnis an der Seite der größten Fische der Welt zu erleben. Unsere Touren in kleiner Gruppe maximieren Ihre Chancen, je nach Meeresbedingungen, wildlebenden Aktivitäten und Parkvorschriften bis zu zwei Schwimmgänge pro Person zu genießen. Entspannen Sie sich zwischen den Schwimmgängen auf dem Boot und beobachten Sie die unglaubliche Action, wie Walhaie, Riesenmantas und andere Meereslebewesen sich in den kristallklaren karibischen Gewässern ernähren. Bei unserem letzten Stopp ankern wir vor dem weltberühmten Strand Playa Norte von Isla Mujeres. Dieser idyllische Ort ist für seinen weichen weißen Sand, das kristallklare türkisfarbene Wasser und die lebhafte Atmosphäre bekannt. Wir genießen ein typisch karibisches Mittagessen mit köstlichem Ceviche, cremiger Guacamole und knusprigen Totopos. Feiern Sie den Tag anschließend, indem Sie im seichten, warmen Wasser waten oder einfach am unberührten Strand entspannen und die Sonne genießen.

Inklusive Transfers dauert die gesamte Tour voraussichtlich zwischen 7 und 12 Stunden

We did the whale shark excursion with Ocean Tours in Riviera Maya, and it was an amazing experience! Our guide, Cecilia, our driver, Alberto, and our boat captains, Jimmy and Juan, were all so kind, knowledgeable, and made the day unforgettable. Before we got on the boat, they gave us Dramamine just in case, and there was plenty of water and snacks available throughout the trip. The meal they provided afterward was delicious too! The ocean was pretty rough the day we went, and a few of us (including me) got seasick. The crew was incredibly caring and did everything they could to make us comfortable and help us feel better. Jimmy was especially great at making sure everyone got an amazing view of the whale sharks and even helped people in the water if they were struggling. Overall, I can’t recommend Ocean Tours enough. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. 10/10—we’d absolutely book with them again!

What an amazing experience and I would recommend wholeheartedly. We were picked up in a mini bus from Akumal at 5:15 am, with a couple of pick ups along the way. Our guide Vanessa joined us at PlayaCar and she instantly brought an energy to the group, making us feel like one family for the day. Vanessa was super friendly, her knowledge, connectedness and caring for the planet and animals shone through. We knew were in good hands for the day. What was really nice was that on the journey up, Vanessa gave us all croissants, bananas, snack bars and cold drinks, which not only kept our energy up, but allowed everyone to take sea sickness tablets. On arrival we could buy long sleeve UV swim tops with whale sharks on £18 essential as sun cream not permitted even if reef safe, to protect sharks. Shorty wetsuit hire £10, def worth it. Boat trip out was great, boats fanned out to try and locate the sharks. Its all rightly controlled, with various scenarios for swimming. Key was only 2 people per shark, must have guide to not stress Sharks who are juveniles about 20ft long. In the water no diving below to minimize disruption. All the gear was provided snorkel and flippers all in great condition. Everyone is drilled on what will happen to snorkel: The captain lines you up parallel to a shark coming along, you drop in when told and then position so the shark swims past, once out of whales eyesight, you get a shout to swim and swim like made to swim along side it, but they are fast. So we finally found the sharks and OMG, there 20+, seemed they were everywhere, all top feeding with dorsal and tail fins on the surface, the water was the deepest blue clear water. The buzz, excitement and awe on the boat was incredible. My daughter and My first swim was incredible, the shark was going away from us, but seemed to here our splash n swim and wanted to come have a look, it turned and very slowly swam passed us ❤️, they are massive, but strangely calming and just big gentle giants. There were other whales sharks around. For the second swim, again shark swam across the front of us, the mouth filtering tonnes of water, the gillsopening and closing colour and strength of its gentle tail swish. We had another amazing bonus, manta rays they were huge and again gently flying around in harminy witht the whale sharks. Upon returning to the boat, another shark came past the other swimmer climbed out, whilst waiting to get back on the boat Vanessa our guide, shouted at me, turned around, OMG a whale shark calmly swimming right next to me, I have to say being so close it was a bit of an unexpected fright, palpatations and a bit of back pedalling, to avoid contact, but just wow wow wow. What a bucket list incredible privelege to swim with this beautiful fish. Post swim drinks and sandwiches and pineapple were a real treat. This was not the end of the day, we travelled back, did some snorkelling, then stopped at isla Mujerres for lunch which was delicious Mexican Fish Ceviche. On the now short journey back to the small dock, be sure to take pilaroid glasses, the turquoise, blues, greens were incredible and we also saw several turtles coming up for air, we got home at about 17:00 so a long day but thoroughly worth it. There were go pro videos to buy, which was the onky down side, 2 & 3 people, $50, 4 people $75 even though everyone gets the same footage, and 3 of our 4 only swam once, even a call to the office did not help, so OceanTours got $0 so instead of losing $25, they got nothing (well done great business sense and thanks for penalising us for having one more person). Dont worry our new found family from the day got around the issue! Again I have to say a massive thank you to Ivan and captain and Vanessa our guide for the day, thank you for being so amazing and making lifelong memories for us. 🐳🦈❤️❤️❤️ xxx

We saw many whale sharks on this tour. We also managed to see some manta rays, dolphins, fish and turtles. Our Guide Nicolas was very helpful and told us many facts about the whale shark and made sure we fully enjoyed the experience while still respecting the whale sharks. The length of the visit was the perfect time as we managed to get in 3 jumps, got to go snorkelling in the reef near Isla mujeres and also ate some food at Isla mujeres.
