Der Hochgebirgssee Sevan ist die „Perle Armeniens“. Sevan-See - liegt auf einer Höhe von 1.900 m über dem Meeresspiegel im Zentrum des armenischen Hochlands, 63 km nordöstlich der armenischen Hauptstadt Eriwan und ist der größte See des Kaukasus. Sevan ist von allen Seiten von Gebirgszügen umgeben und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Alpensee. Der See ist berühmt für sein reinstes Süßwasser und reine Bergluft wirkt sich positiv auf die Gesundheit aus.
Der Klosterkomplex Sevanavank befindet sich auf der Halbinsel Sevan. Im Jahr 305 wurde es von Gregor dem Erleuchter gegründet, der die Kirche an der Stelle eines heidnischen Tempels errichtete. Im 9. Jahrhundert machten die Fürsten von Syunik Sevan zu einem Punkt ihres Untergangs. 874 bauten die Frau des Fürsten von Syunik Vassak und die Tochter des Königs Ashot Bagratuni - Mariam hier zwei Kirchen - St. Arakeloc und St. Astvatcatcin. Sie sind reich an verschiedenen holzgeschnitzten Kapitellen, von denen ein Teil im Armenischen Landesmuseum für Geschichte und in der Kunstgalerie von St. Petersburg (Eremitage) aufbewahrt wird. Im Jahr 1869 eröffnete eine spirituelle Schule in der Anlage. Auf der Spitze des Berges der Insel sind die Überreste der Kirche mit einer Kuppelhalle erhalten. Das Kloster ist reich an Khachqars (Kreuzsteinen).

Amazing driver and your leader. We went to lake Sevan full day tour. Had fresh fish from the lake for lunch. On the way stopped at the ski resort.

Very friendly tour guide and very professional driver. We got good grasp of Armenia. At day 2 when we had limited time ,the operator shall have told us to staty earlier to see the places. Instead we proposed that and even then we did not manage to see 100% but close to 90%.

I am obsessed with the service I have received here. They made me love Armenia. Our guide was a very nice woman who spoke about the country with such a love, that I started to love the country even more. The girls in the office helped me find some must visit places in Armenia. I mostly admired blue Sevan. This country has a huge history and need more companies like JAN. Our driver was a real professional with English speaking skills, so he could communicate with us. In their company I felt like I'm with my friends.

Hi everyone, we were in Armenia for a week, in May. Originally we were with another tour guide company, and our holidays was going to became a disaster , but this guys saved it literally. We come across with them by accident, but they helped us, took us for a few sightseeings. We were even able to make choice of places we wanted to visit and combine them as we liked.
