Der heidnische Tempel von Garni wurde in der zweiten Hälfte des 1. Jahrhunderts von König Trdat III erbaut. Dies ist der einzige heidnische Tempel, der auf dem Gebiet Armeniens erhalten geblieben ist. Nach der Annahme des Christentums wurde es die Sommerresidenz von Khosrovadukht, der Schwester von König Trdat III. Es wurde 1679 durch ein Erdbeben zerstört. Teile, Fragmente anmutiger Säulen und Mauersteine waren um den Tempel herum verteilt. Es wird vermutet, dass der Tempel Mithra, dem Gott der Sonne, gewidmet war. Der Tempel von Garni wurde in die UNESCO-Liste des Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen.
Das Charents Arch befindet sich in der Nähe von Eriwan zwischen dem heidnischen Tempel Garni und der Klosteranlage Geghard Christian im Dorf Vokhchaberd. Auf den ersten Blick scheint der Arch der gewöhnlichste und unscheinbarste zu sein, doch wenn man näher an die Plattform im Arch kommt und das Panorama betrachtet, wird alles klar - dies ist der beste Ort, um den großen und heiligen Berg Ararats zu bewundern , um mit ihm in Einheit zu sein und die schöne Landschaft zu genießen.
Das Kloster Geghard ist eines der größten mittelalterlichen Bauwerke in Armenien. Geghard ist in einer Höhle völlig ausgehöhlt, man spricht auch von einem „Höhlenkloster“. Dieses Kloster wurde im 4. Jahrhundert nach Christus gegründet. anstelle der heiligen Quelle, die aus der Höhle stammt. Der Name des Klosterkomplexes Geghard (Speer) stammt vom Langin'n-Speer, der den Leib Jesu Christi am Kreuz durchbohrte. Momentan wird dieser Speer im Museum von Etchmiadzin aufbewahrt. Die Klosteranlage Geghard ist in die UNESCO-Welterbeliste aufgenommen.
In der Provinz Kotayk, unweit des Dorfes Garni, befindet sich eines der bekanntesten und schönsten Naturdenkmäler Armeniens - die Symphonie der Steine. Es wird gesagt, dass dieses natürliche Denkmal das Ergebnis des Einsturzes der Vulkangesteine ist. Das Denkmal besteht aus riesigen paradox symmetrischen Sechseck- und Fünfeck-Basaltsäulen (fast 50 Meter hoch). Diese Steine, die an der Schwerkraft hängen, ähneln einer Orgel, was erklärt, warum sie auch als „Basalt-Orgelpfeifen“ bezeichnet wird. Der Fluss Azat fließt durch die Schlucht und peppt so die faszinierende Schönheit von Steinen mit Trubel auf. Vom Territorium des Denkmals aus können Sie auch das Khosrov Forest State Reserve betreten und eines der besonders geschützten Gebiete Armeniens entdecken.

We had an amazing experience with Jan Armenia, and a big part of that was because of our guide and driver, Arshak. From day one, he was always before time, cheerful, polite, and incredibly helpful. As pure vegetarians, finding the right food was a challenge because of the language barrier, but he went out of his way to help us choose and order the right food everywhere we went. He even introduced us to local fruits and dishes we would have otherwise missed. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about making our trip special. He accompanied us to almost every place, climbed up to monasteries with us, explained the history, architecture, and significance of each place, and shared so many interesting stories about Armenia. He also took us to a few beautiful spots that weren't part of the itinerary but knew our son would absolutely love them. Those little surprises made our trip even more memorable. He also saved us from unnecessary haggling and places where tourists could easily be overcharged. Every stop was thoughtfully planned with clean washrooms, good coffee, and food options which made travelling with family so much easier. By the end of the trip, it genuinely felt like we were travelling with a local friend. His warmth, patience, knowledge, and hospitality made our Armenia trip unforgettable. A big thank you to the entire Jan Armenia team as well. Everything was managed smoothly from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jan Armenia to anyone planning a trip to Armenia.

We took a 5-person tour, our guide was Hakob Ezikyan and the driver Rudolf Pogosyan, it's over. It's great. Loved the picturesque places, the trip was comfortable and delicious.
