Private Tour zu den Maya-Tempeln und dem Strand von Chacchoben

I loved the excursions the only thing I did not like was that for the Mayan Tenples, tour Guide talked so much and had us standing in the middle of the dirt walkway for long periods of times. There’s bugs it’s hot and I want to keep the pass moving walk and talk. I kept interrupting him to please let’s walk and talk. The beach the sales people were just too much they kept coming by over and over and over again it was extremely difficult to simply enjoy and relax. The tourist guide was honest the best he had drinks ready for us and he was so so patient and sweet. I hope they find a better beach

We didn’t get to enjoy this tour, but wanted to leave a review as we were very satisfied with customer service. At the last minute, our cruise ship was unable to dock in Costa Maya due to unsafe weather conditions. We had to cancel on very short notice. Response from customer service through the app was very prompt and we were issued a full refund the same day (despite the written policy requiring 24-hour notice).

I really liked the driver and the tour guide. The whole experience was great. Next time I’d pass on the beach portion, but it was still okay…just kind of small and cramped.

Johnny was great . We enjoyed the Mayan ruins and the mangoes we ate on the way. Bring mosquito repellent and ask the tour guide (that we paid separately for) for some folklore stories about the ruins. Great spot for pictures

We had such a great experience. Was so nice to have our private driver. He was kind enough to make an extra stop for us. The beach club was incredible. We had delicious food and service from start to finish was assisted. I would use them again in a heartbeat

Jhonny was an excellent tour guide

Johnny was excellent. Rode in a clean, air conditioned car. We saw the Temples and had lobster at the beach before leaving!

Firstly, our driver Rickardo and guide Saul were nice and friendly. During the trip my mom was very uneasy with the speed we drove (120-130km/hr most of the time) and the fact Rickardo was on his phone a few times. We passed every vehicle on the road so I don’t think it was how most people drive in this area. He offered us a bottle of water which was appreciated. I had booked this tour as I thought it was private so I was a little surprised when I was told we could either keep it private but not have a guide or have 2 others join us and have a guide. Perhaps I missed some fine print when I booked? I originally wanted a private tour since my mom has limited mobility and felt like I cleared it before I booked. I don’t think any special accommodations were made and at the ruins she was only able to make it to the first stop. While we moved slower, she was still usually behind and likely missed much of the narration. In hindsight I think it would have been better to just make transportation arrangements to the ruins and do a self guided tour. Saul was prepared with some books for reference. It was also really nice that he offered some bug spray. While not related to the tour itself, we had a lot of difficulty finding the exit at the port. It was quite a far walk so just be aware of this when booking. On the way back we stopped at a little area by the beach to do some shopping. The vendors were quite aggressive and a little rude when I refused to shake one of their hands. We ended up just going back and sitting in the van. Overall it was ok but not what we expected in terms of experience.

I booked the tour with Johnny, as a shore excursion. And Johnny was very helpful in providing details of the Tour. Johnny responded to all of my questions promptly via WhatsApp. But unfortunately due to some medical issues, I had to cancel the trip; and since I cancelled 24 hours before, Johnny was kind enough to understand my situation and he issued me a full refund.

I have booked over 20 private tours all over the world I have to start by saying this one easily falls in my top 5 experiences with booking private ever. It was phenomenal and is the epitome of how your day should go when booking private tours. Communication and directions were very clear from the booking day. We easily found our guide right outside the cruise terminal exactly where the directions said we would. From there we never had to think about or plan anything else the rest of the day. My family chose the Mayan Ruins and some time at the beach. The car we took to the ruins (about a 40 minute drive) was so clean, spacious, and air condition was super cold and comfortable. When we arrived at the ruins there was a private guide waiting for us. He was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had, he was very patient with my 3 and 5 year old. After the ruins we were taken to a super cool beach with multiple sandbars for the kids to swim out. By the time we got there it was pretty busy but our tour guide already had us set up with a personal server on the beach. He asked us what we wanted/needed and where we wanted be on the beach and said follow me. Perfect spot, didn’t have to look or wait for a chair to open up. We order some amazing Mexican food and fresh lobster. When we were ready to leave we just let him know and our car was there within minutes cooled off and ready to return us to the ship. I can’t express enough how impressed we were with our day and this tour company. When we are back again will definitely reach out for him to plan out our day again.
