Besuchen Sie auf dieser 3-4-stündigen Tour die Mutterkathedrale von Echmiadzin (von außen), die Hauptkathedrale der armenisch-apostolischen Kirche und die allererste christliche Kathedrale der Welt. Es gehört zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Sehen Sie sich auch die Kirchen St. Gayane und St. Hripsime an, die zu den drei Kirchen in Echmiadzin gehören, die den christlichen Märtyrerinnen gewidmet sind, die mit ihrer Äbtissin Gayane aus Rom geflohen sind. Beide gehören zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Die letzte Station ist Zvartnots, der mittelalterliche Tempel des Heiligen Gregor, der im 7. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. Es war eines der höchsten Gebäude der Zeit (45-49 m). Heute können die Ruinen des Tempels in Zvartnots gesehen werden. Es gehört zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Die Kirche St. Hripsime ist eines der berühmten Kirchengebäude in der Stadt Echmiadzin. Dies ist das entwickelte und perfekte Beispiel für Kreuzkuppelkirchen in Armenien. Die Kirche zeichnet sich durch ihre architektonische Einfachheit und Loftigkeit aus. Das Grab der christlichen Märtyrerin Jungfrau Hripsime befindet sich in der Sakristei der Kirche. Die Stätte ist in die Liste des UNESCO-Kulturerbe aufgenommen.
Unweit der Echmiadzin-Kathedrale, vor dem Hintergrund weißer Gipfel von Ararat, kann man die Silhouette der Kuppel der St. Gayane Kirche sehen. Sie wurde im 7. Jahrhundert erbaut und gehört zum Kuppel-Basilika-Stil. Der Legende nach wurde diese Kirche über dem Grab der Jungfrau Gayane errichtet, die für die Verkündigung des Christentums gemartert worden war. Die Stätte ist in die Liste des UNESCO-Kulturerbe aufgenommen.
Dieser wunderbare Tempel ist das Ergebnis von Geschick und tapferer Kreativität armenischer Architekten des 7. Jahrhunderts. Sie wurde auf mehreren Säulen errichtet und konnte nur bis ins 10. Jahrhundert überleben. Als zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts diese Stätte ausgegraben wurde, konnten viele Spezialisten ihr vom berühmten armenischen Architekten Toros Toramanyan entworfenes Rekonstruktionsmodell kaum akzeptieren, da es schwer zu glauben war, dass damals ein so riesiger und komplizierter Bau hätte errichtet werden können, und erstaunlicherweise kam zu dieser Zeit eines der Flachreliefs der Kirche St. Chapelle in Paris, um Toramanyans Version zu beweisen; das Flachrelief zeigt den Tempel Zvartnots mit der Arche Noah und es sieht aus wie das Modell, das vom Architekten dargestellt wurde. Die Stätte ist in die Liste des UNESCO-Kulturerbe aufgenommen.

The tour guide Karen was excellent! It was a very interesting tour and Karen made it really great because he explained in detail all the destinations and their history, making us fully understand the value of what is the spiritual center of Armenia. Karen and Joseph were our guide and driver. The trip was wonderful through truly ancient places. And very spiritual because since it was Sunday we were able to participate in the liturgy. The guide Karen has been very kind and has explained everything to us very well. The cathedral is beautiful and the Zvartnots temple is idyllic.

I have taken two tours with Hyur: 🔹Garni and Geghard with David as driver and Marina as guide. 🔹Echmiadzin Cathedral and churches, Zvartnots Temple, with Gayane as guide and Joseph as driver. The experience went very well, since you check in at their office, they assign you a bus, and then you go on to meet your guides. I must say that both Marina and Gayane were excellent, with great historical knowledge, very kind, with wonderful explanations of the History of Armenia, and with the interest that their group have a great day. It is noticeable that they are very proud to be able to show the history of their country to those of us who decided to visit it. Regarding the drivers, I must say that they were very efficient, with safe driving, and very punctual. In general, the two tours were a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful experience on our tour today with Raffi as our guide and Sasha as our driver. Both were incredibly friendly, professional, and made the entire day enjoyable from start to finish. Raffi was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical information at every stop, which really brought each site to life. He also went above and beyond by taking numerous photos of our family throughout the day, helping us capture some wonderful memories.
