Ich werde Ihnen die Geschichte des Marktes erzählen und Sie werden die farbenfrohen Stände voller Obst, Gemüse und Gewürze sehen. Danach werden wir zu mir nach Hause gehen und Pasta von Grund auf zubereiten ... die typische „Bigoli“, die mit einer antiken Presse hergestellt wird (diese Art von Presse wurde im 17. Jahrhundert erfunden und heißt „Bigolaro“) ... Sie werden unsere Cicchetti probieren, eine venezianische Vorspeise, und am Ende werden Sie unser bekanntes Dessert zubereiten, das in meiner Region erfunden wurde ... Tiramisù!

We had an amazing time with Catia. We started with a tour of the city center while shopping for some vegetables and bread which took three tries because bakeries were closed for holiday. She then drove us to her house where we made tiramisu and two types of pasta dough before enjoying a delectable lunch al fresco. Don’t plan other activities too close to this one, we went well over the estimated 4 hours and loved every minute.
We had such a wonderful experience at Catia’s cooking class! The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming, in a great location, and the food was absolutely amazing. Catia is truly passionate about Italian cooking, and her enthusiasm makes the whole experience even more special. We especially loved making our own fresh pasta and ravioli from scratch — so much fun and very rewarding! It was a fantastic experience to share as a family, and we all had a great time. Highly recommended!
Catia is the best! I had the best time I could wish for in Padova with her and the explanation, the food, the treatment, well everything was just so amazing. The best food I have eaten in Italy and I’m here for two weeks. It was truly an unforgettable experience. I recommend everyone to go to Catia’s cooking class in Padova!
Honestly a must do experience if you are in Italy. We started with a tour of Padova and its history. Then we went to Catia’s home to cook. Catia is an amazing teach and amazing cook. The experience was one of a kind and I hope to come back and do it again soon!
Katia was amazing, she made my 13 yr old daughter feel right at home as we made a proper Italian grandmother kind of meal! Don’t eat before nor after!
Catia is an amazing cook and teacher. I went to her with my two daughter and we had a great experience. We were able to learn many recipes. She allows you to make everything yourself. Every plate was incredible. There was enough variety. She also showed us her garden and let us pick up some of the vegetables for our own food. Catia is an amazing person. She goes above and beyond. We totally recommend going to her. You won’t regret it!
Catia was spectacular! Her knowledge of the city was impressive!! Her cooking skills were outstanding! As a solo traveler, she made me feel so welcomed in her beautiful home. I could not imagine returning to Italy without seeing her again. Grazie Millie, Catia!!
An absolutely wonderful experience! Catia is extremely friendly, welcoming, and excited to share her recipes and expertise. She is a very patient teacher and the food is excellent. We made two pastas and a dessert, while Catia had prepared some appetizers that we also cooked (and ate paired with a local Cab Franc). She emphasizes homegrown/local products and uses seasonal recipes. We had a very pleasant walk around the city center to pick up some supplies and Catia shared history on the landmarks, best places to eat & drink, etc. if I were back in the city, I would not hesitate to sign up again!
Highly recommend this for solo travelers! Catia is incredibly knowledgable about the history of Padua and the local foods that make up the region. Furthermore, the cooking class was so much fun! Catia is an amazing host and a great teacher when it comes to making pasta from scratch. I would only recommend her to anyone who asks. This goes without saying but the food was absolutely amazing!
I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful our cooking experience was today. We began by walking through the piazza, where Catia gave us a brief but lovely overview of Padova’s history while selecting fresh local produce for our meal. She then drove us to her home, which was absolutely charming, warm, and inviting. We learned how to make different types of pasta from scratch, along with tiramisu. While the dough was resting, we enjoyed wine and delicious homemade appetizers. What we thought would be a simple cooking class turned into an incredible five-course meal. The entire experience felt so personal and genuine, almost as if we were family being welcomed into her home to cook and share a meal together. Thank you, Catia, for making our visit to Padova such a memorable and unforgettable experience!
