It kills an hour and that's about it - wetter wasn't great when we went so most people were inside - really loud couldn't really follow the commentary no o e seemed to have any interest in listening to it - scenery is ok but no more than you see from the bank . Worth doing on a sunny day if you want a boat cruise otherwise not really worth the time unless you want to kill an jour
The boat ride is underwhelming when the weather is not good, (poor viewing from inside if it’s windy and raining, and you won’t want to go up top). Worth it if you purchase the extra ticket to be let off at the castle, but you can skip all together and tour the castle by driving there — and you’ll get the same views. Wouldn’t recommend or book again even on a sunny day.
The cruise was nice, wish we would have had time for a longer cruise. We really learned a lot about the history and geography of the Loch. Bring a jacket, it can get a little chilly.
We absolutely loved our ons hour boat tour of Loch Ness with the stop at Urquhart Castle. The tour boat included seating both inside and outside which was helpful when it got a wee bit wet and windy. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable. We underestimated how long it would take to drive from Aberdeen to Inverness but the tour guides were extremely accommodating offering to move us to a later tour time. Very generous!
Hi there, Thank you for your 5 star review! We are so pleased you enjoyed the cruise and will pass your kind comments onto our crew! That is great you were able to enjoy our cruise despite the journey! We hope to welcome you back on board with us again soon! Kind regards, The Jacobite Team
Not worth the money. Couldn't hear the audio comments. You're going to Urquhart Castle and back, that's it. Would definitely not recommend.
Hi there, Thank you for your feedback, we will take this into consideration. We do offer other cruises that might be more your taste, such as the 2 hour Contemplation cruise or the Enchantment cruise. We would love to welcome you back on board with us for a more pleasant experience soon. Kind regards, The Jacobite Team
We were on their 50 min boat trip on Loch Ness overlooking the castle from the boat. It was a really good experience - the place was easy to find, free parking nearby and the recording with information running on the speakers, was really good. We had two 4-year-olds with and the trip is excellent for kids too. We would recommend it:).
Hi there, Thank you for your 5 star review! We are so pleased you enjoyed our cruise and we hope to welcome you on board with us again! Kind regards, The Jacobite Team
We booked the 50-minute "Inspiration" Jacobite Cruise on Loch Ness with views of Urquhart. The instructions were super clear and even though there was a ton of passengers there was still plenty of room and we got a whole indoor table/benches to ourselves. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The "guide" was pre-recorded and shared over the intercom. For us, they offered just the right amount of information. A whole bus of 40 seniors arrived past departure time and I was very surprised that they were nice enough to wait for them. The views were gorgeous, indoor and outdoor seating available, and just the right amount of time to enjoy the loch & views of the castle. We had booked a tour of the Urquhart Castle directly following the cruise and it was the perfect morning!

Loved it all! Go ahead and line up early by the water to make sure you get a nice seat with a great view

Great tour beer so you get sailed a little on Loch Ness. You can sit inside or outside, and there is a bar on board. Nice staff and good guide.
Hi there, Thanks so much for you review! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise with us. We hope to welcome you back on board again soon! Kind regards, Team Jacobite
Horrible service. My bus from Inverness city center to the meeting point was exactly 2 minutes late. The pick up was supposed to be at 4:15 PM and I reached the pick up area at exactly 4:17 PM thanks to the delayed bus. I had called the helpline number at least 5-7 times appraising them of the bus delay and that I'd be there in less 5 minutes from the scheduled time. They, however, DID NOT help in any manner and did not even ask the ferry to wait for just 2 minutes. They refused to offer a refund on the ticket to top it off! Definitely avoid their service!!
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you missed your departure time and we understand how frustrating that must have been, especially considering the delays were beyond your control. As our sailings operate to a strict schedule, we are unable to delay their departures, even by just a few minute. This is because it can have an impact on our other passengers and the day's operations. We advise all of our customers to arrive at least 30 minutes before their departure time. Whilst our team did their best to advise you, we're sorry that it did not result in the outcome you had hoped for. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with our customer service team and will share your feedback internally for review. We wish you all the best for your future travels. Kind regards, Team Jacobite
