Wir halten in Invermoriston für Fotos von der Brücke und einer Toilettenhaltestelle.
Nach Loch Ness geht unsere Skye-Tour weiter zum Eilean Donan Castle*, einer der am häufigsten fotografierten Burgen Schottlands. Die Burg befindet sich auf einer eigenen Insel am Anfang von Loch Duich. Wir nehmen uns Zeit, um die Burg und ihre stimmungsvolle Umgebung zu erkunden.
Nach Eilean Donan fahren wir weiter zur Isle of Skye, vorbei an der Skye Bridge und weiter zum kleinen Dorf Portree, wo wir mittags anhalten. Portree ist zwar ein kleines Hafendorf, aber die Hauptstadt von Skye und ist von felsigen Klippen und sanften Hügeln umgeben. Die schöne Umgebung macht es zu einem perfekten Zwischenstopp für ein Mittagessen und einen schönen Blick auf die Boote.

- Bitte beachten Sie: Vom 22. Dezember bis 1. Februar 2025 ist Eilean Donan Castle geschlossen. Wir werden noch am Schloss für Fotos anhalten und der Zugang zur Brücke wird zur Verfügung stehen. Das Besucherzentrum und die Toilettenanlagen bleiben jedoch geschlossen.

Had a great day out with Alex as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and had many interesting stories to tell about Skye. The trip was comprehensive. We saw a lot. The scenery was amazing and the weather played along too. An excellent day. Highly recommend.
This was a wonderful trip and I highlight of our time in Scotland! 12 hours seems like a lot of time but literally flew by when you consider all the awesome things we got to see and do. It rained a little bit on and off all day but that only added to the magical feeling of all the sites we got to see. Our guide was wonderful and very informative of all the interesting history. I was a little concerned about motion sickness on a bus for that long but the roads were really not that winding. The only thing I would perhaps change is to allow a little bit more time for lunch. An hour and 15 minutes made us very nervous, and finding a place to eat was a little challenging with everybody rushing to also find a place to eat. We didn't know the place so we didn't know where to go exactly straight away. With all that said, it was a spectacular trip! What was not emphasized that much in the description was the beautiful, incredible views you were going to see as you go to these different locations. They alone are worth the price of admission! The rolling green hills and mountains are truly surreal! I will never forget them, there's nothing like them! I'm so glad we decided to do this!
Our guide was great and we hit all of the highlights. We do plan to return so we can spend more time in each place. We weren’t rushed and had some great weather, but you can only see so much in a 12 hour trip. I would highly recommend this trip for a taste of Skye.

This was an excellent tour, we got to see so many things within the day. It was great being on the bus as we were able to appreciate all the natural beauty without having to pay attention to the road. Lawrence (Ingy) our guide, was fantastic! So funny and knowledgeable and a very experienced and safe driver. Totally worth the price as you really do get a fulsome Skye experience and Ingy gave us a few extra cheeky little stops for additional photos. Highly recommend!
Our guide was Lawrence (goes by Ingy). Lovely fellow with good showmanship and a sense of how people are feeling. Really appreciate the time he clearly puts in off the clock to learn about landmarks and history along his route. Had a great tour with lots of little tidbits of history and commentary. Beautiful views and great stops. In the future, I think an hour and fifteen, even an hour and ten for lunch would be ideal. An hour was a just a bit too short! Thanks for the great day out, Ingy!

The tour to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle is amazing if you want to see a lot of the Highlands in just 1 dag. Also our guide Jack was amazing at telling facts and stories about the area. We had a fantastic time!
