Der Landausflug zum Mývatn-See und zum Goðafoss-Wasserfall vom Hafen Akureyri aus ist eine Tour, die speziell auf die Bedürfnisse von Kreuzfahrtpassagieren zugeschnitten ist. Wir erkunden die beliebte Gegend in einer kleinen Gruppe und haben einen besonderen Mittagsstopp im Vogelmuseum im Mývatn-See eingelegt. Dort werden wir abseits der Menschenmassen einen exklusiven Besuch machen. Der Eintritt ins Museum und ein leichtes Mittagessen sind im Halt inbegriffen. Wir passen die Abfahrtszeit und -länge an die Anlegezeit jedes Kreuzfahrtschiffes im Hafen von Akureyri an. Die Rückkehrzeit beträgt immer 1 Stunde vor Abfahrt des Schiffes.

Die Tour beginnt mit einer Abfahrt vom Hafen von Akureyri, wo wir in Richtung des herrlichen Mývatn-Sees fahren.
Auf dieser Tour machen wir Halt am Goðafoss-Wasserfall. Wir bleiben dort für 45 Minuten stehen. Es ist eines der beliebtesten Reiseziele in der Region.
Unsere erste Station am Mývatn-See sind die malerischen Krater Skútustaðagígar Psuedo. gebildet von den Explosionen, als die flüssige heiße Lava mit dem eiskalten Wasser vom See sich traf
Wir kommen zum warmen unterirdischen Fluss in Grjótagjá Rift, wo Sie auf dem Kontinentalriss zwischen Europa und Amerika stehen
Die letzte Station am See Mývatn ist das geothermische Gebiet von Hverir mit kochenden Schlammbecken, dampfenden Fumarolen und Schwefelgruben. Abhängig vom Wetter werden der Tour verschiedene Fotostopps hinzugefügt.
Wir fahren weiter nach Dimmuborgir Lava Fields, voll von Lavasäulen und Formationen, die reich an mythischen Sagen und gespenstischen Spuren sind
Wir halten am wunderschönen Mývatn-Vogelmuseum. Der Eintritt ist inbegriffen. An dieser Haltestelle haben wir die Möglichkeit, ein leichtes Mittagessen oder einen Kaffee zu sich zu nehmen. Die großen Busse können nicht hierher kommen, da es sich um einen kleinen Ort handelt und man den großen Menschenmassen entfliehen kann.

Inga was a fabulous guide.. she was knowledgeable about everything Akureyri and beyond. She was very personable and beautiful. Excellent driver too.. when we return, we will request her 100%. I’ve seen waterfalls before, but this one blew my mind…

Julius was our fantastic guide for the day. He gave us the history of the area, local folklore and patiently answered our questions. He was a considerate driver and knowledgeable guide and we were sorry when the tour ended.

Our guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting stories throughout the tour. The reason for the three-star rating is that she skipped Grjótagjá Cave, the underground river, and the rift. Those were highlights we were looking forward to, and since we returned to the port early, it didn’t seem necessary to skip them.

Excellent tour around the lake. I loved standing with one foot on the North American tetonic plate and another foot on the European tetonic plate.
My wife and I had a fun filled adventure culminating with the great Goðafoss Waterfall! Our tour guide/ driver Julie was terrific! We recommend this tour!!
We had an outstanding day exploring North Iceland with Maria as our guide. The guide was able to adjust times to accommodate the group’s desires and schedule. We always were ahead of the cruise ship busses to avoid the crowds.
Great use of time! We were in for the day on a cruise and I feel like this itinerary was perfect. The bird museum was surprisingly delightful. It was worth the extra money to have a smaller group. Our guide Peter shared a lot of nice info and kept us moving.
We loved this tour! We had done this exact tour 8 years ago with Saga and booked again. Julien our guide made the day along with all the beautiful sights- Goðafoss Waterfall, Lake Mývatn ,and Geothermals and Lava fields. Julien ket us entertained and provided a wealth of knowledge. It was also a wonderful experience to have lunch locally at Mývatn Nature and Heritage museum.
